Hey guys, a few of you will know me from taking photos on FM2 but I stopped playing that regulary about 6 months ago. I finally managed to get a PS2 (My PS3 isn't compatable) and started GT4 again after 4 Years.

I don't have many cars I want to take pics of yet, I've only done the Sunday and 4WD CIup, and just finished my IB Licence.

Here's the three photos I have taken.

Honda Dualnote- My favourite car from the GT:Concepts and one car I knew I had to get asap on 4.

And I just saw this beauty on the Used Car Lot before I went off.

More photos tomorrow when I get some decent cars.

So any comments or tips etc.?

You'll get the links to the pictures by looking at their properties and then copying the URL from there 👍

Won this earlier this morning, and wanted to take a couple of shots at Tsukuba.

these are some good first shots.

You should definatly try some of the un edited comps we have running.

I would however put less of an angle on the first of the V-L Carlton shots....but that's just my taste:tup:

Thanks Guys, it's nice to use a decent photo mode after the crummy one in FM2.

And in hindsight 80Y 2C2 I agree about the angle, I was just in a rush to take them so I could go out.

How often are these comps done?

Havn't taken many shots as I've been blasting through the game.

All comments welcome.

I lke this update alot, your composition has improved greatly. 👍
I'd like to see you move onto some basic editing with the photos, Level Changes, Colour Balance, Noise, Saturation etc.

I slightly adjust my colour balance but allways switch it back, I'm not yet as confident with photos on gt4 as I was on FM2. Just preparing for GT5 PM and enjoying driving on 4.

Zonda- Amazing shot. I love taking pics of the Pagani.
R32- First two shots are a little oddly blurred, and the last one would be better if the car was moved off-center differently.
787B- All shots are near perfect, I really like the second one.

Thanks, I really like the second 787b shot aswell.
And with the R32 I was really just playing around with the blur to see what differeny style shots I'd get.

I'd like to add to what MinoltaMan said about the Blur, especially in the first R32 shot.
I've downloaded you image and edited it in paint to show you what I'm about to explain.

In the white I've highlighted your focus point with the cross and the in-focus area of the photo, as you can see it doesn't take up much and it is fairly centered.
In red I've highlighted where you should of focused with the cross and the area that would be in-focus if you did so, here you can see a much larger area of the image is taken up my an in-focus area, giving the viewer more to look at and concentrate on.
You'll also notice I've drawn on a really rubbish estimation of the rule of thirds in yellow. I'm sure you probably know about the rule of thirds but as you can see not only does the red focus area give more detail for the viewer but also uses the rule of thirds better. Hopefully your next update will include more shots with in-game blur because it is a really good tool to use, it just takes abit to get right. I hope you take in some of that and I can't wait to see what you come up with. 👍
