I'm really sorry, I did search but found nothing and I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this. :crazy:

I want to change my tyres... its that simple.

I want to change my tyres from Dirt which I bought and equiped from Toyota back to Racing. I'm trying to enter a 4WD race and I need to change my tyres before it'll let me in.

Please help! :dunce:
 
Go to you're home and at the main scree press strat on you're pad. That'll take you to the settings screen. If it's not allowing you to change tyres when you try to go into an event you probably don't have the right set. Are you using a race car or a road car, and what event are you trying to get into?
 
the tyres change automatically when you try to enter a race...it will give you a prompt stating that your tires will be changed in order to enter the race.

or you can enter your garage/home one inside press enter and it will take you to yout setup screen.

There are few ways to do that. One way, when you are in HOME, get into the car, and go back to the screen where shows your garage. Then by pressing START botton it will brings you to a setting screen for this perticular car.
 
It'll do that automaticlly If you have the right tires. Or else you can press the start button when in your garage to enter your settings menu.
Rally cars come with R1 tires stock, so if you wanna enter a race that demands S tires, you'll have to buy them first.
 
Thanks guys, I figured I was going mad but it wasn't in the manual anywhere that I could see and when I did searches the results were all to do with much more advanced issues. :)

Part of the confusion was that I thought Normal tyres were the same as Racing and that I had the right ones for the race I wanted to enter but had to equip them manually (I didnt).

I just buy all the tires for each car so that way theres no problem...
 
I used to buy all the tires for all my cars, well back in GT2 when i gamesharked all the money i could ever use, but if you are trying to collect cars, or just advane early, it's kinda hard to buy all the tires.

I liked in GT2, whenever you bought/won a Racing Modified car, they came with all the types of Racing Tires ;)
 
that was really nice.
but it seems more realistic to have to buy them
 
I think they shouldve made GT2 but with ps2 graphics. I miss race moding everyday cars. :(
