Is there any risk of having the USB stick in the PS3 like 24/7 with a game save on it? I guess not but I will ask just in case anyone have got problems with this.. I do Copy the savefile now and then (usually after each 1000 ticket but anyway) is there an risk for the game to read the wrong file or may it happen that the file (in USB stick) gets crazy or whatever etc..?

It should not be a risk... I save my game after each session and then take the USB out of the PS3.. Just to be sure... But I doubt theres any risk GT5 reading the wrong save... That would be pathetic really...!

Theres no risk to the actual USB drive, they usually take about 10 years of constant read/write access to degrade to an unusable state.

Ive been thinking about this aswell. So no not a dumb question :D

The only risk I can think of is a ' power surge' or similiar . I have one of the 4 way plug surge protectors so I figure im ok.

Im no expert though lol

It wont read the wrong save, GT5 has a default load / save location which is where your current game save is.

It is not set to scan for a saved game and load that one, so your save game on your USB stick will be fine (I too have considered the same thing & just to be safe I take it out and store it elsewhere (you never know what can happen))

Plus the fact that if I left my USB in the front of my PS3 no doubt our little rottie would end up chewing on it lol!
