Been going through the rally racing and made it 2/3 way through intermediate. Tarmac road race. You progress through the stages until the last one that just happens to be just past dusk. I've got pretty decent vision but I don't have night vision. They disabled a key element to driving. Headlights. I really want to know what genious thought that one up. I was running the ford cosworth rally car and thought at first that it didn't have them. So I grabbed one that did and went all the way through it again. Only to find out that it won't stay on. You ever tried driving with one finger on the high beam button? Doesn't do so hot for a good lap time.

Racing goes hand in hand with safety and no real race would have you driving sans headlights. There are some dumb stuff in this game but this takes the cake. Nice job pd.

Did you gold the gravel one? I won the snow and tarmac sectors by like a minute each. Silver is best I could get on the gravel track. (Im talking the advanced section)

Yea I noticed the lack of headlights too.

Unfortunately, standards don't have the high beams and so they are at a disadvantage.

I use R2 on my DFGT for flashing the high beams, I haven't done those races, I will definitely tape down the button for those races.

pause, go down to EV, adjust up to 1.0, see better. If it's not enough for you, use the driving line.

Intermediate and advanced don't allow for a driving line. It's exactly like the AMG flight school. I resorted to using a water bottle cap and some masking tape to hold the high beam button. I was using a race modified evo 8MR which is a premium car. Was able to gold after my button mod.

Gravel challenge in advanced is tough but doable. If you passed the sebastian loeb challenge and got gold like I did, gravel is easier. It's no cake walk but at least you know what's up with gravel and how to drive on it.

Peace.

Why do you have to hold down the high beam button?

I cant figure out why there is SO much difference in the AI for the rally challenges ( or why the stages are randomly generated, why should everybody take a different test? ). I can totally smoke the tarmack and snow challenges. Hell, I've even passed other cars in the snow challenges. But in the gravel...WTF? I'm like 12 seconds behind on every section. I just don't get it.

12 of 13 drivers driving backwards on Daytona laughing and giggling on their mic's...

Twits still couldn't hit me.

Yeah, I thought that was weird. To bone up for these challenges you'd need to master all the gravel, snow and tarmac stages just to be prepared. I'm all about practice but all of them? Seems like a retarded way of setting this up. Typically I run 10-20 laps on any given track before a challenge to learn braking points. When you can have any one of the many sections it's unreasonable to make a person run them all just in case you have one in your perticular session.

Especially when you aren't afforded the driving line at the very least.

Oh well, I'm off to try and tackle the gravel....again.

Don't tell you that you just noticed PD pretty much just smoked weed in their pool of $$$ from GT5 P for about 3/4 of the dev time.
