im dual monitoring in my room with a 19' and 22' monitors with no tv in my room which leaves me with only one option: dvi-d inputs. ive my 360 on the bigger monitor, but, would like to be able connect a ps2 to the 19 and mindlessly level grind in FFXII. so, the question is, will the ps2 output to dvi? and which cord would i need to accomplish this?

wither or not a 120 hour game save is worth it or not is another question too  !

monoprice.com may carry an adapter but it has been a while since I've checked, and it may not be cheap. I know HDMI to DVI adapters exist, so RCA to DVI should be around somewhere...

I'd double check, as I just looked at the site and while it is a DVI to RCA cable, it still requires some support from the display adapter. Make sure you do some research before hand... last thing you need to do is order a cable, think it will work, only to find it does not.

You may have more luck with RCA to VGA, since VGA is analog. Again, do some research, as it has been a while since I've looked into this - I just got a simple basic capture card for my PC to use with my PS2, from Newegg.

DVI can transport analog and digital signals.
The PS2 has no digital video out, just analog. However the PS2 doesn't output a VGA compatible signal in games. It does in Linux and can be done for games via a hack (not 100% compatible).
The PS2 VGA output uses sync-on-green. If your displays doesn't support this you need a sync splitter.

Alternatively you can use external converters (component->VGA) however output quality will be below the method mentioned above.
