1. Has anyone ever bought a car off E-bay? If so how did it turn out?

2. How come prices on Ebay UK are cheaper, EX: I was just looking at a twin turbo 300zx, with full body kit, and it only had 45k, and it was selling for 3,600 pounds which is 6,430.49 in US dollars. And on the US ebay there is a 300zx with 30,000 more miles selling for 13,100 Us dollars, and they both have about 2 days left. Why such a price difference?
 
Just a complete guess, but my best is that the US site gets a considerable amout more traffic. Thus, more bids, higher price.
 
Cars go for different prices in different parts of the world. That 300ZX would probably cost a lot more to run in the UK than in the US, so theres less demand for them. At least I think it would be more, a UK member could correct me but theyve got higher gas prices, and more fees and insurance costs I believe.
 
A freind of mine bought his car (the '97 T-bird I have mentioned before) on eBay. Well, sort of. He saw it on eBay, contacted the seller (an individual), saw the car and test-drove it, and then paind by check in person.
 
So is it possible to buy, let's say, a 323F, off of E-bay UK and have it shipped here?

Well doug shipped a Lancia from the UK, so maybe asking him would be a good idea.

Some cars maybe cheaper here, but yes petrol/insurance/roadtax is un-awesome here. Also it's probably even more expensive to get parts for cars like the 300ZX here. Although with about £10,000 you could get a nice R32/33 GTS-T ;) or maybe even a R32 GT-R, but you'd have to look around.
 
Does any one know if I shipped a right hand drive, 300zx, from the UK over to US, would it be hard to make it legal? There alreadt 300zx's here so it can pass emisions, any one konw?
 
If the wheel being on the right is the only difference then there shouldn't be a problem, but cars in different countries can have different specs because of varied emissions laws so check everything first.
