They would both be DaimlerChrysler. The closest you can get to them in video games would be the Jeep Wrangler in 4X4 Evolution 2.

yes, it's a re-badged Mitsubishi, I know, but i'd think that wiht "Cars," interest in the Hudson Hornet mihgt be sparked.
 
I read somewhere that PD have managed to convince the car manufacturers to allow damage to their cars for GT5/HD/Vision GT or what ever it is to be called. so that is another step forward for the car manufacturers getting their cars advertised and a boost for PD as they can make the game even more realistic.

I'll try and send an email to Volvo to see what cars they might allow in GT5, would be interesting to have some more in the game other than just the S60 and 240GLT
 
I understand your doing this with good intentions but it really is pointless, your not going to get an accurate or proper answer. Like I said in another I sent so and so an e-mail thread....

It's a pointless venture, you'll get some half arsed reply by some spotty PA who doesn't have a clue about GT5 or what will and won't be in it. Do you really think that the higher up's will take their time to read random e-mails from kids regarding a computer game.

It honestly is a pointless venture, a guy I know who has close links to certain manufaturers was told by MG that MG would not be in GT4 at all, and we got the MGF and the TF. The people that answer random public e-mails arn't people involed in the game in any way, they'll get the e-mail, they'll ask their manager at best and their manager won't be involved with the game in any way, but they'll just say something that can't be used against them. Literally the only companies that you have any chance of a proper response from are the tiny companies and I'm talking smaller than TVR comapnies, like Caterham, Westfield, Marcos, Weismann etc because the people that answer the e-mails will see more of what's happening around them since they'll likely be located at the only premesis the company runs from rather than floor xx at office xxxxxx in department xxxxxxxxx where they deal with nothing but public enquiries and often do nothing but fob them off.
 
To add to what L4S said, it's also possible that they're under Non-Disclosure Agreements, so they may not be able to say anything about the true situation. Plus, Sony might be onto this back door attempt to get info about progress on Gran Turismo, and might be telling all their automotive partners to hush up about it.
 
Ofcourse, good point, most contracts like this do tend to be contracts that require the manufacturer to not comment or at least not give accurate information, but like I said, at the end of the day most of the e-mails are only answered by PA's and secretaries that have notthing to do with the queston nor access to the actual answer.

I know, but the Wrangler is closer to the AMC roots that Hudson and Nash later became. Maybe the Dodge Stratus and Intrepid from GT2, as the LH platform they sat on was really just an updated AMC/Renault "Premier" platform.

So. This is a real email? I snailmailed a letter to BMWAG/MINI once asking them to make a Mini Cooper S-type-R with a midmounted V6, based on the Renault Clio Sport V6. Except I was young, and still ended up ricing it out. But then, a year later, they make the Cooper Works!! I deserve 5% of the profits!
I DID get a response though, with a 1/64 scale Mini Cooper model car in Chili Red with bonnet stripes and white roof/rims.
Then again... that's almost totally unrelated.

What made you think they would
a) know what you are talking about
b) give a damn
or
c) tell anything?

This is the case with Lamborghini. My contact reported back tonight. He was told that issues like that may not be discussed with factory workers, and all info regarding licensing for products, deals, etc. are kept within the people who work in that area.

Any info given out to the public can report in a departure from the company and a fine.
