GTPlanet, I figured I'd reseve this thread for E3 coming up soon. I'd like to open this thread to whatever becomes of E3.

Now, with E3 coming up, it will be the tenth anniversary of this event. But as us GT fans know, it will be the time when PD comes clean about what GT4 will be like before hitting shelves.

In the meanwhile, here's the website for E3:
http://www.e3expo.com/e3expo/

The event will come your way May 12 through the 14th. Any GT4 finds from this show, you can reply with stuff on that. So courtesy of me, this thread will be "resevred" for E3. But you can, however, talk about E3 before it happens out in Los Angeles.

Take care!

It is my intention to be a part of the e3 experience again this year.

I will do my best to provide screens/video and detail as quickly as possible (and without requiring a subscription fee of course) to the best of my ability here for GTPLANET.NET.

Jordan (GTplanet Admin/Owner) has already allocated some space for videos and screens.

Lets hope I can come through with the goods........(fingers crossed)

RIP - Granturismo.com (forums)... you served us all very well and this will also be my year to fade away.

See you again in six days.

"Gentlemen Start Your Engines".... another Gran Turismo year is just about to begin....

I for one certainly hope that GT4 does not appear at E3 2005, because that means it still won't have been released by then. I think a LOT of people will be upset if that's the case.

Man... I'm only being supportive and this is the thanks I get for making a topic like this for a reserved event? Good grief.

But anyhow, I will be looking forward to any GT4 tidbits from E3. The show should start on a night where I got Accounting finals (that's okay, I suck at that anyhow, so don't think I'm a whiz at it). Afterwards, it will be interesting to see what will become of this year's E3.

Do you really work for IGN Arwin?I read that 7 page article and i found it pretty good.
It says that Kazunori is willing to postpone the release of the game if it means getting the Ferrari's in the game.I sure hope they can get the Ferrari's in there, that would be so awesome.

Wouldn't be disheartened by it John, doubt it was truly scathing.

Writing for IGN beats nothing, I'd be pretty proud if I did.

I also wouldn't mind seeing GT4 delayed to get some Ferraris in there.

I doubt there'll be much new to come out of E3 to be honest. We've got Prologue, we've heard most of the things that'll feature. Sure there are a lot of unknowns left but unless they have something truly inspiring still under wraps I wouldn't expect anything beyond another showcase, more screenshots and maybe some online play or something. Playable build is what I see at E3.

Great article Arwin, and GTChamp KY said that about Ferrari and Lamborghini a good few months ago, and I would take that comment as a hint, also one of the reasons for delaying the gaem was to add more cars, KY said he'll be adding them right up to the last minuet.

If I see a ferrari in gt4 at e3 next week, I'll be so happy that if the info psm report was false, I wouldn't be disappointed. Hell, I wouldn't care if one ferrari could be driven on the track, just give us the ferraris :D

Thanks for the kind words, Eagle. I try not to be disheartened. I don't come up with stuff that daresay start a flame session. I've had plenty of those on two different forum sites in my forum history. With the event starting on May 12th on into May 14th, as I said earlier, I will be looking forward to what the next GT will bring. To me, I may play other racing games (just got "Pro Race Driver" just yesterday), but Gran Turismo 4 will be a racing game I will PLAY to death. Cobragt, Skunk, Arwin, whomever else will be in the house at E3 in Los Angeles, you have fun and report your findings either here or elsewhere. Okay?

:) Happy Mother's Day! :)

Cobra GT at E3?

Hope hes got incontinence pants.

P.S Mothersday was weeks ago here.

Well, when it comes to racing, it's all about Father's Day weekend. Why? The Le Mans race!!!

Yeah it's the best way to celibrate!!!!

Anyway what are your thoughts about GT4 on the E3 this week?

Personally I don't think PD is willing to give to much information about cars and brands that will be in GT4, let alone a fixed release date......

Some complain about the shift-times for the cars, which seem a little too long. Taking a 2003 S2000 from 0-60mph should take about six seconds, but in GT4 Prologue it's well over seven seconds. On what is the current duration based and will drivers be able to influence shift times in the final game?

ha! I feel honored!

The show begins in... about 24 hours and change. Still as curious as any GT fan should be about what will be covered at E3. And I'll admit. More rally cars would be wonderful. I mean, you want to concentrate on the history of cars, but also increase the number of cars to rally with. And one thing I like about GT4 already is tarmac rallies. I don't know if this means that you can rally on Amalfi or Citta di' Aria or even Monaco, but the rally experience has to be enhanced wonderfully.

Gran Turismo has really come a long way. GT is not an overnight success. I have a PS2 and glad to have all three GT games and looking forward to GT4. I hope racing doesn't get as roughneck and unfair as "Pro Race Driver." Playing that crap right now, losing at Oschersleben in a car company I don't really like to begin with, Saab.

Any one care to make some wild speculation about what 3 cars are racing in Zer0's pic next to the guy in the ladder? Or where they are racing?

Car at the the top looks like the McLaren

I don't know, but I'll make guesses. The car order is based on leading to trailing, alright? So here goes:

1st Place:
McLaren F1 GTR

2nd Place:
Nissan Skyline GT500

3rd Place:
(guess) Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car

And I'm not sure, but I think there are actually FOUR cars in that picture. You can't make out the fourth one back, though (unless you have absolutely a lot of GT experience and no life).
