I got goosebumps when looking at today's SONY conference at E3. All PS3 titles shown today are epic: Assassin's Creed 2 looks phenomenal (And even better if the so-called diversity is true), Uncharted 2 looks epic, new Metal Gear Solid saga game for the PSP, Gran Turismo 5 (OMG WRC, JGTC, Nascar, Pits AND damage), Gran Turismo for PSP, Final Fantasy VII as a PSN download, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIV MMORPG, MAG, the new motion controller which to be honest looks amazing, Last Guardian, and the godly-looking (no pun intented) God of War III which they cleverly saved for last.

The awe-inspiring presences of personas like Hideo Kojima and Kazunouri Yamauchi...

There is no doubt in my mind that PS dominated E3 this year. I thought 2008 was a great year for the PS brand, but what's coming for 2009 and 2010 to me, from what I saw on day one of E3, is undescriptible. I can't wait to see what they have to show us about White Knight Chronicles.

Yeah PS3 dominated E3

Nintendo was just terrible. The Wii is dead IMO, and sales are starting to show that.

Micrsoft's conference was better, but they didn't focus enough on exclusive games, though these exclusives were old franchises, and nothing new.

Sony killed them so bad in so many ways. New franchises, MAG, The racecar creating game, and the Rockstar game. They had everything the other two had plus more

but im sure the media will still say XBOX won because PS3 did not mention a price drop. but today's conference was really good to bad i had to leave half way through it right when the got to the race car creator game.

Sony ftw, they rocked E3 this year! I would like to know some more about the new Rockstar game: Agent.

Sony's conference was the only conference that i watched from start to end.

Sony another epic show at E3 congratulations 👍👍

Anyone who says Sony did not "win" E3 is a fanboy straight up and down. Final Fantasy XIV exclusive. Rockstar North's Agent exclusive. Uncharted 2, MAG, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, Gran Turismo 5 and Mobile, God of War 3, The Last Guardian, plus all the cross platform games like Modern Warfare 2, Brutal Legend, Rock Band, Madden '10, and Assasins' Creed 2. Plus Sony's crazy motion controller, PSN, and PSP Go.

****...

Sony won, period.

Whohoo! Best E3 in my life! Sony sure showed ALOT of new stuff! GT5, New metal gears, psp go! you need a big list to name them all! There was Hideo the metal gear master, and Kazunory the gt master was looking nerveus, why??
He had gt mobile working great! So what there are only 4 cars on track, the car library and functions are awesome! GT5 trailer was stunning, goosebumps everywhere, when I saw nascar and poin-to-point rally races...and then the subaru crashed!

maan, that was great!

The other companies made this way to easy for Sony though the other 2 had such abysmal shows it was so generic and boring.:yuck:

The only big thing MS had was Metal Gear Solid Rising, and PS3 is going to get that one too, and the new Sam Fisher game. That looked good, for a change.

What was that other game with the boy you talk too via the camera? That was pretty awesome, but not really for me. Unless, the boy can be replaced with a female stripper with a huge rack and loose morals. NOW THAT'S A GAME! :sly:

I do have a soft spot for Halo: Reach. Only because I really liked the Halo novels.

Tell me about it. Who wants to play with a boy? Do you want to play with a boy, you ****ing pervert? A female with a huge rack and Sony's dildo motion controller? The possibilities are endless.

When Froza3 guys mention FM3 is best looking HD racing game out there, one guy said in these forums, for how many hours!!!

HAHAH About 24 hours when GT5 was revealed!

Sony ownd the E3 conferences. And I love how they BEAT the wii with new motion controllers, as well I think they might beet the Microsoft's camera, because everything needs buttons to have best feel.
Imagine playing COD or Killzone games with these remotes and cam.. thats how wii should be in first place.

The irony in this thread is hilarious!

Anyone who says Sony did not "win" E3 is a fanboy straight up and down.

Surely that works both ways, then?

The only people who aren't fanboys are the ones who can say with confidence that nobody 'won' E3 because it's not a contest. Most of this thread reeks of Sony fanboyism.

IMO, all of the conferences were interesting and exciting and I'm looking forwards to some brilliant releases for both of my consoles.

+ Invisi Rep

So very true, I was impressed with both companies.

MS had quite a few awesome games, even though things like Halo don't interest me in the slightest, they are still pretty essential to MS's fan base. I was really impressed with FM3 as well.

Sony's announcements of GT5 and GOW3 were both awesome.

Really it's not a competition, it's really just a way for developers to showcase their stuff to the consumers. Just buy both consoles, play the huge slew of awesome games, and just be entertained.

** The cross platform stuff was great too, the Mass Effect 2 trailer...yes please!

I really really want that ModRacers game, I want to build my own tracks so badly!

I thought the PS3 conference was a tad on the boring side. Where Microsoft just showcased the games, Sony's conference had a lot of figures and stuff I didn't really care about. Microsoft surprised me since I figured by now, they would be out of steam.

What I found interesting from the Sony conference:

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (but I don't own a PSP)
Agent
Uncharted 2
Assassin's Creed 2
Final Fantasy XIII
Gran Turismo 5
The Last Guardian
ModRacer Nation
MAG (would've liked a better demonstration)
and some of the games from the montages looked pretty good

I've been very busy, but after finally getting a chance to catch up and watch the press conferences, if you actually time how much Sony allocated towards any figures and stuff, it added up to less than 5 min out of the 2 hour presentation, and despite having to cover three markets (PS3, PS2, PSP), they still showed more games and more exclusives than Microsoft... so it doesn't quite add up the way some have suggested.

Besides, while some people don't care about figures, considering how many people, even on GTP, have tried to downplay the success of the PS3 and the popularity of their games, and the quantity of games, the numbers definitely suggest otherwise, and if the point of the presentations is to promote their brand and show how popular they are, then it makes perfectly good sense why they do it.

However for those who could care less about facts and figures, the good news is that they didn't spend a lot of time on it. 👍

Really it's not a competition, it's really just a way for developers to showcase their stuff to the consumers.

As for whether or not it's a competition - it certainly is to Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, as it has always been.

To us consumers? Then no, it's not, or at least it shouldn't be... but then again, after hearing a few 360 fanboys making some pretty wild claims about the lack of any good games for the PS3 and at least one person who even goes so far as to claim the PS3's game selection sucks, I can see why some may feel it is more of a competition than it needs to be.

As far as the OP's topic is concerned though, I can certainly understand and even agree with much of what he said and his sentiment.

I feel this way despite having already been very impressed by Microsoft's presentation, and went into detail about it in the E3 thread.

Yet the fact remains that Microsoft spent much of their time on titles that will be available for the PS3 as well, and on project NATAL which we not only have no idea when it will be available to use, let alone what games will support it... and as already mentioned in the E3 thread, other than software differences, Sony has offered the same basic technology since 2007 with their PS Eye and has already released a few games and utilities that take advantage of the motion sensing camera.

If you contrast what MS showed (as discussed in the E3 Thread) with what Sony showed, the differences are fairly significant:
  1. Right off the bat it started with a series of clips from over 50 upcoming games... 50, most of which are exclusive, all being shown on a massive 80'x40' screen. Although Sony seriously screwed up and should have included the titles of each one as they were shown, although I suspect it was intended to be a teaser to get people to visit their E3 booths for more details.

  2. Then to further the emphasis of just how significant the library of games are for the PlayStation brand, Jack Tretton then announces that there are already 364 games that are coming out on their PlayStation platforms this year alone.

  3. Then he went on to discus the Pre-E3 Gamer's Day event and just a few of the upcoming games like:
    • Modern Warfare 2
    • Final Fantasy XIII
    • Ratchet & Clank Future: Crack in Time
    • Batman: Arkham Asylum
    • Heavy Rain
    • Rockband: The Beatles

  4. Then he briefly discussed the continued success of the PS2, and that nearly a 100 titles will be released for the PS2 this year.

  5. Announced that the PS3 would be launching in Brazil, Uruguay, and Paraguay. (I thought the PS3 was available everywhere by now :odd:)

  6. Discussed the critical acclaim of the recently released game, InFamous.

  7. Announced the release of the Uncharted 2 beta.

  8. Discussed and showed 5-min of a realtime demo for Uncharted 2.

  9. Discussed and showed 5-min of a live realtime demo for MAG with 256 players from Seattle to San Diego and on stage.

  10. Discussed bundles and upcoming games for PSP like:
    • Rock Band: Unplugged
    • Dissidia: Final Fantasy
    • Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines
    • Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show :yuck:
    • Pets
    • LocoRocco 2
    • Patapon 2

  11. Official reveal of the new PSP GO, not as a replacement for the PSP, but as an additional portable console.

  12. Announced the new application, Media Go to access the PSN store on the PC and to manage your content across a PC and PSP.

  14. Announced an 80% reduction in the cost of the PSP Development Took Kit.

  15. Announced all future PSP games will be available for download or via UMD.

  16. Discussed the popularity of Sony's Video Store (Movies & TV) with nearly 2,000 Movies and 10,000 TV Shows currently available for download.

  17. Announced native support for the Video Service for PSP.

  18. Announced new partnership with providers like:
    • Showtime
    • G4
    • E:Entertainment
    • HDNET
    • Starz TV
    • TNA
    • Magnolia Films
  19. And a variety of new Anime series and sporting events.

  20. World premier of Gran Turismo for PSP by Kazunori Yamauchi:
    • 800 cars (including the Ferrari Enzo)
    • 35 Tracks
    • 60 Track Configurations
    • Multiplayer for up to four players
    • Races
    • Time Trials
    • Drift Trials
    • Mission Challenge Mode (including the legacy License Mode of the original GT)
    • Ability to trade and share cars between players.

  21. World premier of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PSP by Hideo Kojima:
    • Kojima will be directly involved as both producer and writer.
    • The main development group from MGS4 will be heading the development of this game.
    • Set in 1974, ten years after the events of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and four years after Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
    • The game is set in Costa Rica, with Big Boss as the central character once more.
    • When an unknown military force invades Costa Rica, the nation must rely on Militaires Sans Frontières, the mercenary army that will eventually give rise to Outer Heaven.
    • Multiple Snakes are shown in the trailer, hinting at the inclusion of co-operative play.
    • There also seems to be an updated CQC and evacuation system along with the ability to move while crouched as seen in Metal Gear Solid 4.

  22. Announced a brand new Resident Evil game will be coming out for the PSP next year.

  23. In addition to the titles already mentioned, they also announced the following upcoming PSP titles:
    • LittleBigPlanet
    • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
    • Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
    • MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
    • Hannah Montana: Rock Out the Show
    • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
  24. And showed clips of over 30 upcoming PSP games.

  25. Discussed the ever growing popularity of the PSN with 14 million PSN users downloading 500 million different items from the PSN store; more games and more exclusives coming out than any other console; and 50 new PS1 classics on their way.

  26. Announced the launch of Final Fantasy VII on PSN.

  27. Discussed the popularity of Home with 6.5 million unique users in Home 85% of which have used Home multiple times; the popularity of the exclusive APG game Xi, 1.5 million visitors to EA Sports Complex in one month alone, an average of 3 new games spaces coming to Home each month beginning with:
    • Buzz!
    • InFamous
    • SOCOM
  28. And more spaces coming up from:
    • Activision
    • Capcom
    • EA
    • Eidos
    • Namco
    • Ubisoft
  29. 100,000 virtual items sold in less than two months for just SFIV & RE5 items alone; and around 100 virtual items coming to Home on average each month.

  30. Once again, to emphasize the amount of games coming out for the PS3, they then showed a collection of clips from 50 upcoming PS3 games.

  31. Announced the title of the secretive exclusive new IP game from Rockstar, Agent, a 70's era espionage game.

  32. Premiered 5-min demo of Assassin's Creed 2.

  33. World premier of new Final Fantasy XIII trailer.

  34. World premier of the first trailer for the PS3 exclusive Final Fantasy XIV: Online.

  35. Announced for the first time the development of a new extremely precise tracking motion sensing controller with sub-millimeter accuracy followed by a live 10-min demonstration of the prototype device. Perhaps the most impressive thing was how two of these new controllers work seamlessly together to manipulate objects and to simulate things like a sword and shield, and pulling back the arrow on a bow. 👍

  36. Announced the new motion controller will launch in Spring of 2010.

  37. Announced new licensed DLC for LittleBigPlanet.

  38. Announced a brand new exclusive IP, ModNation Racers which follows in the footsteps on LittleBigPlanet in allowing users to create and share their own races with other players over PSN.

  39. 10-min explanation and demonstration of ModNation Racers:
    • Video shows how you can custom create characters and cars, like in LBP, only what appears to be even greater customization. 👍
    • Next video shows actual gameplay with very detailed graphics and various arcade racer style gameplay, but with some real physics modeling.
    • Finally they showed a live 5-min demo using the Track Studio which allows you to very easily and quickly create your own course and race... much faster than LBP, but to be fair, LBP create tools are also far more advanced and detailed. That said they did show a lot of options, like:
      • Auto Track Tool (w/automatic overpass construction)
      • Basic Modify Tool (adjust track)
      • Sub-Theme Painting (change parts or all of the track surfaces)
      • Terrain Tool (add and adjust various types of terrain around and even under the track, and change surface of terrain)
      • Scene Props (add things like trees, houses, animals, etc)
      • Track Props (add things like weapon pick-ups, safety cones, barrels, gates, etc)
      • Global Setting (adjust cloud cover, time of day, terrain level, and water level)

  40. Official announcement and trailer for the final game of Icco's trilogy of games (Ico and Shadow of the Colossus), called The Last Guardian, a PS3 exclusive.

  41. World premier of the first trailer for Gran Turismo 5. Among the most talked about things seen in the trailer:
    • Extremely detailed graphics
    • NASCAR licensed cars
    • WRC licensed cars (and hopefully courses)
    • Detailed pit stops
    • Cosmetic damage (but only seen on a WRC car)

  42. World premier of a live 5-min demo of God of War III. The disemboweling of the minotaur, and chopping of the tail followed by breaking of the horn of that last beast and ramming the horn through it's eye was simply brutal!

So all told, even ignoring the "facts and figures" from the presentation, even if you ignore the roll out of a brand new portable console, even if you ignore the extensive live tech demo for the upcoming motion sensing controller, and even if you ignore all the news on PSN, the Video Store and Home.

In games alone. Sony managed to show demos of five games:
  1. Uncharted 2
  2. MAG
  3. Assassin's Creed 2
  4. ModNation Racers
  5. God of War III
Officially announce or show trailers for the first time several new exclusive games including:
  1. Agent
  2. Final Fantasy XIV
  3. ModNation Racers
  4. The Last Guardian
  5. Gran Turismo 5
  6. Gran Turismo for PSP
  7. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
  8. Yet named Resident Evil game
  9. Final Fantasy VII
And show new footage for Final Fantasy XIII and exclusive games like:
  1. Uncharted 2
  2. MAG
  3. God of War III
  4. SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
  5. MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
  6. LittleBigPlanet Portable
And in total, they showed video clips of more than 20 PS3 exclusives like:
  • Afrika
  • Agent
  • Buzz! World Quiz
  • DC Universe Online
  • EyePet
  • Final Fantasy XIV
  • God of War III
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • Heavy Rain
  • InFamous
  • Katamari Forever
  • MAG
  • ModNation Racers
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
  • Quantum
  • Ratchet & Clack Future: Crack in Time
  • SingStar: Queen
  • The Last Guardian
  • The Agency
  • Uncharted 2
  • White Knight Chronicles
And a dozen PSN exclusives:
  • Critter Crunch
  • Fat Princess
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Gravity Crash
  • Hustle Kings
  • Mushroom Wars
  • Numblast
  • PixelJunk Shooter
  • Smash Cars
  • Trash Panic
  • WipEoutHD Fury
  • Xi
And more than a dozen exclusive PSP titles like:
  • Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines
  • Dissidia: Final Fantasy
  • Echochrono (Replay)
  • Fat Princess
  • Gran Turismo PSP
  • Invizimals
  • Jak & Daxter: Lost Frontier
  • LittleBigPlanet Portable
  • Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker
  • Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
  • MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
  • Patapon 2
  • PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe
  • Rock Band: Unplugged
  • SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
  • SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny

So that's 50 exclusive titles, and they also showed clips from about 50 multi-platform titles as well. Games, games, and more games.

Other than personal preferences, Sony most definitely had the most to offer, and more importantly to them, showed the most games that are only available on their platforms.

This despite the fact that Sony didn't have nearly as much time during their press conference to allocate towards the PS3 as MS had towards the 360, as it doesn't just sell a single console and games for that one console... yet despite that they still managed to show more titles, and most importantly to the PS3, announced more new exclusives like the new IP from Rockstar games, Agent (a 70's espionage style game) not to be confused with another upcoming exclusive game, The Agency, as well as the new Final Fantasy XIV, ModNation Racing, Icco's Last Guardian.

Based on most of the reviews I have read on E3, all agree that Sony's press conference was the most effective and covering the most games that separate them from other consoles.

However, E3 isn't just about the press conferences. In fact, it's a lot bigger than just that.

Sony had the most playable demos, including a 30-min demo of God of War III that was only partially shown during the conference.

Based on the many hours of coverage and countless articles and videos coming from the floor of E3 where people were getting to learn a great deal more about these upcoming games and features then what any 2-hour presentation can offer, watch more footage of the games, and even play real-time demos... that's where Sony and specifically the PS3 truly dominated.

Just in game footage alone, Sony has released nearly a hundred new trailers from E3 that they didn't have time to show in their press conference, many of which are now available for download off the PSN stores, including trailers and videos for the following upcoming games, of which most are exclusive titles:
  1. Army of Two: The 40th Day
  2. Assassin’s Creed 2
  3. Batman Arkham Asylum (exclusive "Play as Joker" feature)
  4. Battlefield 1943: Pacific
  5. Battlefield: Bad Company 2
  6. BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger
  7. Brutal Legend
  8. Buzz! World Quiz
  9. Call of Juarez: BIB
  10. Castlevania: Lord of Shadows
  11. Dante's Inferno
  12. DC Universe Online
  13. Dissidia: Final Fantasy
  14. Dragon Age: Origins
  15. Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires
  16. Echochrono (Replay)
  17. EyePet
  18. Fat Princess
  19. Final Fantasy VII PSN
  20. Final Fantasy XIII
  21. Final Fantasy XIV
  22. Front Mission: Evolved
  23. Gran Turismo 5
  24. Gran Turismo PSP
  25. Gravity Crash
  26. Heavy Rain
  27. Hustle Kings
  28. Invizimals
  29. Jak & Daxter: Lost Frontier
  30. Katamari Forever
  31. King of Fighters XII
  32. LittleBigPlanet PSP
  33. Mafia II
  34. Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite
  35. MotorStorm: Arctic Edge
  36. Mushroom Wars
  37. MX vs ATV Reflex
  38. NCAA Football 10
  39. Nier
  40. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
  41. Numblast
  42. Patapon 2
  43. PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe
  44. PixelJunk Shooter
  45. Planet 51
  46. Quantum
  47. Ratchet & Clack Future: Crack in Time
  48. Red Dead Redemption
  49. Smash Cars
  50. SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
  51. Sonic and SEGA All Stars Racing
  52. SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny
  53. Split Second
  54. Tales of Vesperia
  55. Tekken 6

  59. Trash Panic
  60. Uncharted 2
  61. Vancouver Olympics 2010
  62. White Knight Chronicles
  63. WipEoutHD Fury

To sum up this mega post... as evidence of what was shown, both during the official presentation and during the show, as the OP said, there is no doubt in my mind as well that PS dominated E3 this year... and by a wide margin, and he isn't the only one that referred to E3 as PSe3.

Agreed.

I agree that Sony's was the most impressive conference. It does not mean it's 'won' anything, as I posted about previously, but for me it was a brilliant showcase of just what the console can do. But what really tipped it into the more interesting category for me were the more inventive games such as ModNation Racers and The Last Guardian (which will probably make my 360 redundant for a few months!).

Wow, great post, Digital-Nitrate. I want to stress that I didn't mean to diss the XBox. In fact, I'm the first guy to point out the XBox's major strenght against the PS3, and that is the better online cappabilities ever since the first XBox. For everything else, the PS3 fulfills my current-gen needs. As for Nintendo... well, Nintendo isn't really in the loop since the Cube, in my opinion so there's not much to say about it.

But saying that the SONY conference was on the boring side, that's a bit of a stretch to be honest.

I've got to say the first half hour of the Sony conference did have me wondering if Microsoft were going to come out on top, but certainly the onslaught of games and the live tech demo of Sony's motion tech in the second half really pulled it back.

I was honestly surprised at how poor Nintendo's conference was... Ok, so I'm excited about Golden Sun DS, but aside from that, no thanks... Most of their announcements were just boring; what's that, a remake of the DS Mario game with the same graphics but on the Wii and with a whole four players?! Thank you, but I'll take my Little Big Planet any day :)

Still no private chat on the PS3 though - its disappointing. Only seen the 360's E3 - not had time to see any others.

Cant wait to see Sony's E3 if its as good as im hearing!!!

Still no private chat on the PS3 though - its disappointing.

Yeah, that's a huge turn off. That and the fact that you can open the XMB when playing PS3 games but -not- when playing PS2 or PS1 games! It's kinda silly because you'd think that opening the XMB while in a PS3 game would take the most resources and it'd be easy to accomplish while in PS2 and PS1 games.

Still no private chat on the PS3 though - its disappointing.

Just to avoid anyone from being misled, to be specific there is private chat on the PS3.

There is both text chat and voice chat, and with the new chat room feature, players can even text chat with several other players at the same time while playing different games, or in the XMB.

The only chat feature missing is voice chat between players while players are playing different games and not in the same game.

I have used the 360 a great deal and have never once had a reason or cause to ever use that feature, because unless they are in the game I'm playing, I wouldn't want to try and have a conversation while I am playing a game... and if it was absolutely necessary for me to respond, pausing the game and sending them a quick text chat letting them know I'm busy is easy enough.

That said, it would be nice if Sony added cross game voice chat if nothing more than to help put an end to the debate on how relevant it is. 👍

Why are you bigging the PS3 up on every turn, I have both 360 & PS3 systems, I know they both have flaws - if anyone is giving misleading information its you.

The PS3 does have text chat, wow - who can text chat their friend while in the middle of an online match???

PS3 (private) Voice chat is only available at the XMB if you want to talk to someone in-game you better hope its in a party/lobby. Me and my friend love playing Killzone 2 online but unless we are in the same team (which is hard to get most of the time) you wont be able to talk to 'Friends'.

The only chat feature missing is voice chat between players while players are playing different games and not in the same game.

Very misleading with that statement, you cannot just choose to talk to your friend (voice chat / private chat) because they are playing the same game as yourself. It does not work like that.

First of all, I have around 10 friends who I know personally and hang around with socially and we all have Xbox 360's.

When i'm on the 360 I will want to be playing a game not sitting at the dashboard just to communicate with them, so it does not matter if they are playing a different game, I can chat to them about a game they are playing or one that im playing or negotiate which game we can play together, all using the Xbox 360's private chat or Party Chat (up to 8 people in a private room)

No need to send silly text chats to all of them, time consuming and absolute waste of time.

Oh and again, you cannot pause an online match of Killzone to send a 'text chat' message.

That said, it would be nice if Sony added cross game voice chat if nothing more than to help put an end to the debate on how relevant it is. 👍

Its completely relevant, the PS3 needs this.

You are only sceptical because you are an out and out PS3 fanboy who I see defending it every possible time you can.

I have views on 360 & PS3 I do not prefer one over the other as both are amazing gaming consoles. Being able to communicate to all my gaming friends at any time is great - thats what online play is about, socialising, having fun, communication.

Very misleading with that statement, you cannot just choose to talk to your friend (voice chat / private chat) because they are playing the same game as yourself. It does not work like that.

What are you on about? D-N is probably our best PS3 to go to guy on this forum, here you are bagging him like he is stupid.

I do not understand at all where you come from with this comment. He has stated that you CANNOT talk in game to mates in other games, you make it sound like he said you can?

Sorry if I misunderstood.

Yeah I think you majorly mis-understood that he always makes the Xbox 360 extremely inferior to the PS3 in every one of his posts.

And yes you must have missed where he said you can - and its extremely misleading

The only chat feature missing is voice chat between players while players are playing different games and not in the same game.

This statement is not correct. Apart from maybe a COD game where you can set up a private lobby you cant pick and choose who you speak to online while playing. The PS3 does not have the necessary tools to just talk to your friends while playing any game together without the use of an in-game feature.

The only time you can talk to anyone in a private chat is on the XMB.

Oh he's not stupid, he is a fanboy and likes to twist stories to make the PS3 sound like its godly, when like its competitors it has its weaknesses and cannot do everything the others can. And just because the PS3 doesnt have a feature like cross game chat doesnt make it the best way of gaming.

I dont care how much he knows about the PS3 and its tech spech mumbo jumbo but i know about playing it, alot. And I know about what it lacks.
