E46 M3 Question

How often do the clutches go out. Mine just did after 117k miles on the car. Just curious if I should have changed mine sooner or not.

Not sure if this helps but I have an '06 Mini Cooper with 61k miles on it and I haven't changed it yet. I would ask your dealer, (if you can trust them, certain dealers vary) or check your manufacturer service logbook if you have one. That will tell you when you should perform your routine maintenance.

It depends on how you drive the car. In LA, in stop and go traffic in a performance car, 120k sounds fairly reasonable.

Just based on what you said, that seems pretty good. However, the sample size of E46 M3 owners on here is small, and I think generally folks on this site have limited experiences with those cars and their clutch life. You should check with a M3 specific forum if you want car specific experience and consensus.

Ya I am going to ask the E46 Forums to see what they think. Just wanted all of your opinions too. It is a pain as a daily drive sometimes.
