This is a small article I read in a magazine at a local game store, but still interesting, IMO.
EA...Will it be going back?
EA, lately, has been talking about a little NFS project. The project...going back to the game's original area...Supercar racing. EA thought about the change after seeing that their new NFS game will have to compete with Juiced, SRS, and a few others. They say if they go back to the original idea, it will not be b/c of the new competition, but the demand for getting back to the old ways when the game was all about speeding in supercars. Now, we've seen the fact that GT4 doesn't have these cars b/c of the license issue. Now, if EA decides to do this, could it be a problem for GT5? We think not, since PD will be after the licenses before EA can start on this new game. The cops...return. Something we thought should have been in Underground. EA is thinking of new cars, and manufacturers such as Koenigsegg, Pagani, and the cars such as the Gallardo, Enzo, and the the thought of old cars, and returning cars. The new game (if it goes through) will have more tracks, new modes, more cars, and more of everything. The game in the works? Nope. Only the idea has popped into their heads, and talk. No go ahead on the project, or that.
Release date: Either never or late 2006. It will be an NFS game we will be looking forward to....hopefully.
Well, IMO, I like the change. I think the NFS series was all about speed, not tuning up a Skyline, and then racing. I'd rather be racing 200MPH in a Diablo, then using nitrous oxide to do 190MPH in some Miata.
Think this is a good change, or bad change? Tell me your opinions.
But like the article said, the game has yet to be decided. It's just an idea that has been talked over as of now since no one has gave the go.
Are you willing to see NFS go back?
