EA Nation issues strike again!

I need some help here!

I'll put it this way, EA Nation isn't very kind to me. I can play online in EA Sports titles such as NBA Live 09 and NCAA Basketball, but when i play any other EA game, Skate. 2, Battle: BC, 1943 and NFS: Shift

The Problem:
After loading up shift, i connect to EA and all is going well, i joined a race and started driving.. about 2:30 minutes later a small message appeared on the screen and it says I have been disconnected from EA Nation, this happens with all of my EA titles besides EA Sports ones.

Has anybody had this issue/ or know a possible fix?

Basically, My Nation doesn't stay connected for 1 lap of Silverstone......

I've had this issue recently as well, I was continually being disconnected from games. EA nation reconnected me successfully every time I was disconnected but then disconnect me again after I just joined a race! Unfortunately I don't know a fix for this but I think you just need to wait for the issue to sort itself out and then you're all good. I haven't been disconnected from EA nation during a race for a few days now.
 
If you are behind a router or firewall, you may have to open up some ports to get it working properly. See the manual of the specific game to see which ports you must open.

Personally, to get rid of all this port crap (since many games require different ports), I placed my PS3 in the DMZ of my router; meaning it's out in the open completely, thus having free access to all ports (and more importantly: outside connections have access to my PS3).
