About 2 hours ago my mate messaged me on steam about a great opportunity. Unfortunatley i was playing GT3 at the time so didn't see his message.

Apparently when discounting some of their games, EA mistakenly reduced their UK prices to £0.00 for the the following games: Mirrors Edge, Mercenaries 2 and Dead Space.

I don't know when they did this, but someone found out and naturally posted it all over the internet, resulting in thousands, maybe tens of thousands downloading the above games for free

Before a mod decides to lock this thread, EA have fixed the glitch on their site. I was too late to get the games...

The best part is, because it was EAs fault, nobody can be prosecuted as everyone purchased the game for the stated price of £0.00

Someone at EA is going to get fired.

So post your comments, what do you think? Did you hear about this in time to take advantages of EAs mistake?

Chances are they will just cancel the orders, there are things in the fine print that say they can cancel orders without notice.

Edit: I'm an idiot and didn't know they were talking about DL versions. Someone at EA will definitely be fired.

ah it was uk only anyways. these things happen but i wonder what it was that caused these things to happen. looking at all of the screen shots it showed the original price then a discount. next thing that has me wondering is how did someone find this? my guess is its another one of EA's publicity stunts there so common for that causes controversy. kinda like the dante inferno stunts that ended up in news.

Someone wont be fired, someone will be found floating down the Thames.

What do you know, EA did something nice for once
