gt5 had news via twitter on coming updates. how Will EA give us heads up?
there should be something new coming, they were good before the game came so i hope they continue that. where do we hang to get latest news?
EA has a website that they actually use, and in addition to that, Unleashed has it's own page that's actually updated; and there's a Facebook page...that's actually updated.
So how many options you have that ultimately lead to the same place? A website that's actually updated accordingly.....
.
You make it sound as if PD isn't in it for money, which couldn't be further from the truth. In fact, there is a special Camaro in my GT5 garage that proves PD is out to make money.
I'd much rather a tweet from the actual game owner that he can send from an elevator in a matter of seconds based on his personal feelings toward a question from a fan, rather than a scripted EA press release on their website or interviews with swedish know-it-all's about how on elite model S2U is more sim than anything else out there..
GT5 twitter > EA's money making website that they force you to go to for updates so they can get more hits and hence charge more for advertising.
Kaz couldn't give a hoot about directing you to his website to get hits for advertisers..
Go to gran-turismo.com and have a look at all the AD's on that website ? What do you notice ? THERE IS NO ADS. Case and point.
One hand you have a company that cares about making as most money as possible through many many different avenues, and the other who doesn't accept advertising on his website, who has never charged even a penny for DLC ( prologue ) , and has stated that he doesn't believe in paid DLC for GT5.
Personally, morally, ethically i know why i still have a copy of GT5 and why my Shift2 copy is sitting in the Pre-owned Bin at EB games.

Really, because the camaro i have in my GT5 garage i never paid anything to PD for that? Are you claiming that you made some special payment to PD? You got a free car with a razor that would normally buy every week or so anyways. Be thankful.
By a games very nature it has to make money to survive, there are different way's of going about that. Case and point EA and PD.

Personally, I prefer a game maker who focusses on making money. I know where their loyalties lie, I know how to persuade them, I know what they want out of the whole business transaction. I might not like it, but at least it's clear what their motives are. They will do what it takes to make more money, and it's my job to make it clear to them that they're not getting any more unless they do a proper job.

I went and placed my bug report in the appropriate place on the EA forums where at least I know Drew will look at it.
PD, I don't know exactly what they want. There's no real method of communication, there's one personal twitter account where the signal to noise ratio is through the roof. Where's my official bug report forum for GT5?
I wish people would get over their irrational hatred of EA and see that they're no different from any other publisher. Just as SMS is no different from any other developer, they're under pressure from the publisher and doing the best they can. If people can cut GT5 slack for all it's foibles, they can cut Shift 2 a break.
Don't get me wrong GT5 has it's faults a plenty, but they game developer didn't blatantly lie to me via worldwide interview.
