Can anyone name the exact car in this ad?? A guy I know wants to know exactly what this is. We have came up with a 75-76' 911 turbo... a 930 perhaps? Remember I live in the USA so we didnt get it until 76' I don't think... Any help is appreciated. 👍

It's definitely a 930 (911 Turbo) with 282 horsepower it's almost certainly post a '86 model since that's when the car returned to the US line up with more power.

So your thinking its a 86' not a 76' model?? I dont know, just asking... I will check into your theory of when it got more power in the US. 👍

It's not really a theory, in 1980 the turbo was pulled from the US market (still making 260hp from 3.0 liters at this time) because of emissions and the possibility of replacement by the 928. By 1986 it was clear that the 928 would probably not be able to replace the 911 and Porsche reintroduced the 911 Turbo (now with an emissions controlled engine making 282 hp from 3.3 liters while Europe got 300-330hp out of the same motor)...

that can only lead to 911-shaped hole in the hedges when that notorious rear end decides that it wants to go to the forest and play there instead. still, that's one of the best classic porsches, alongside 944..

It has to be a 1987-88 Porsche 911 Turbo, since C&D had those numbers in their January or February 1986 issue, as I recall. Automobile magazine didn't debut until April 1986. Lastly, "Forty years" from 1948 is...
