Will GT5 ever have the possibility of earning credits online?

I'm 95% sure GT5: Prologue had that function and when I went to my first online race expecting a cash prize after winning with my Mazda Stealth but no.

So, will we ever earn credits online?

I'm pretty sure this and also online rankings is some the things suppose to be added later on thru a patch, or atleast I hope it is.
