I am surprised that this game hasnt been mentioned yet. Huge boss enemies over 20 stories tall, over 50 missions, 170 weapon variations, completely destructible environment, hundreds of enemies on the screen at once, and co-op.

Wow around 75 hours to get all the achievements. Now thats replay value. lol Also the co-op is only available for split screen. Not over xboxlive.
 
I just callled my local EB games and they have it in. I will be going to pick it up in a few hours and while I am there I will pre-order Guitar Hero 2. :)

wow really? So you dont even like GRAW, GRAW 2, or RSV? Dang your missing out by simply not trying a game because you dont like 3rd person shooters. If you dont like the 3 games I just mentioned then there is probably no way you will like Earth defense 2017.
 
I like GRAW, but I use the first person view. I haven't played the second one yet, Blockbuster hasn't had it in stock.
 
....Isn't this a somewhat shoddy-HD redux of the game that was originally on PS2? I mean, I haven't read-up on it a whole lot, but I do recall the title being on PS2 maybe a year or so ago and only getting marginally good scores.
 
This game is absolutely awesome!!!!! Holy crap I have seriously never seen more explosions or enemies on the screen at once in any 360 game like this game has! Yeah the graphics are bad and the gameplay is a bit repetative but who cares....Its extremely fun and very addictive!!!! I have put about an hour and a half into it and I am having a great time. I was on level 8 but forgot to save so now I am back at level 5 again. No big deal I dont mind playing them again. So make sure you save after every level. I will definetly be getting videos of this game too in the near future. You can blow up EVERYTHING you see anywhere in the game.

Also the difficulties arent stackable so you will have to play through on all 5 difficulties if you are just going for achievements. Doing that will take around 75 hours. This game was easily worth $39.99. You can also allow a co-op partner to join in any levlel via split screen. I highly recommend everyone at least try it out. :)
 
I made it to level 22 last night and I am still really really enjoying this game. Some of the levels just get insane. :sly: 👍
 
I now have about 5 hours and a half hours into this game and I am still loving it. Some of the new rocket launchers and guns are incredible and very destructive. I also unlocked some turrets last night that I can throw out and activate at any time with the LB button. One of the rocket launchers fires 10 heat seaking rockets of destruction! The recent one I unlocked called the Valcano launches I believe 6 rockets 3 times in a row that spread across the screen and wipe everything out including all the buildings in the way. And some of those weapons are still not enough to keep the enemies from getting to you. :)

I just beat all 53 levels on the easiest setting and it took 7 hours and 45 minutes actual game time. My stamina is 549 and I found 60 weapons. The last couple levels were pretty brutal on easy so I cant even imagine how tough they will be on the next 4 settings. As I said above I love this game and fully intend on going through it on the harder difficulties. :) I am also going to try and get some videos this weekend. There are just so many incredible moments I dont know where to begin.
 
I went to Blockbuster to rent it but all the copies were gone, since you say it's good I'll give it a rent to see how it is next time it comes in.
 
Now I just beat all 53 levels again. Now I have a total of 14 hours 25 minutes into this game to beat it on 2 of the 5 difficulties. Whew its getting brutal now. Now time to try the 3rd difficulty. :)

Anyone else having any luck finding this game? This is easily the best $39.99 I have spent on a 360 game. If your not screaming out loud with excitement on some of the levels then you simply dont have a pulse. The last levels are absolutely jaw dropping. I guarantee no one has seen anything like this when you hit those last few levels or some of the epic boss battles.

Ok I will keep you in mind. Heather still wants to play it too. I want to at least get through on hard mode since I already beat easy and normal. I have a feeling it will be impossible after Hard mode. lol
I could also buy another one and send it if you wanted.
 
lol either way, i went to 2 walmarts, sam goody, game crazy, and 2 small privately owned video game stores and nobody had it :indiff:
 
I am going to EB on tuesday or wednesday next week to get Guitar Hero. When we go we can pick up Earth defense and send it to you. Or I might even go there this weekend.

Well I started on hard last night and I just cant say enough how much I LOVE THIS GAME!!! I already beat it on easy and normal and just had to start on hard last night. I got to level 11.

My favorite weapons are the rocket launchere that shoots out 30 homing rocket launchers(50 damage each rocket)!!! Pure devostation!! I believe its called the MP3 or something like that. I am at work and cant remember. And in tight tunnels I roll with that rocket launcher and the rapid fire shot gun. I only use the tortoise (1000 damage) for huge main enemies that dont move much. I cant say enough how much I love this game. Easily one of the most fun, destructive and rewarding games I have played on the 360. Easily in the top 10 of my favoirtes out of the 75+ games I have played. My stamina is now somewhere around 920. Some of the tall robots are getting very difficult to beat. Takes around 90 of those homing rocket launchers to take them down. And when you have over 10 robots on the screen you can imagine how intense it gets.

If some of the levels get too tough my girlfriend is just going to join in as a co-op and help me out. I will probably do the same for her. I dont know if it gives her the same weapons I have or if she has to start from new if she joins me. We will find out soon.
 
Well over the weekend we beat it on my girlfriends 360 on Hard. Then we started working on completing hard on my 360. As you can see we have over 45 hours into this game if you combine the time on both xbox360s.

I am glad you like the videos. I really like the the 12th video a lot so far. I am actually shipping this game to Driftgod on monday so he can play it because he cant find it either. I have already beat it on easy, medium, and hard on my girlfriends 360 now easy medium and almost hard (up to level 50 hard) on my 360. Its still the best $39.99 I have spent in a very long time. Excellent game and I will miss it. But I am sure Driftgod will have a great time with it too. 👍
I will also be getting more videos over the weekend before I ship it out.
 
I think I'll give this a rental. It seems the kind of game to have a blast on for a little while then stop and go back to it later. In a way it would've made a good downloadable game but I guess it was either too big or they just didn't want to do that.
I'm guessing it'll be around £25 or £30 in the UK but I'm gonna rent it out all the same.
 
I added 7 more videos to the first post. 19 total. These will be the last videos I make so please enjoy because I am sending this game to Driftgod on monday so he can enjoy it. :) We already put over 50 hours into beating it on easy, normal, and hard on both of our 360s.

N/P I am glad your enjoying the game. I think most people that give it a chance will like it. Everyone just has to keep in mind its a budget title for $39.99 and well worth it in my opinion.
Your stamina is in great shape considering you havent beat easy yet. Looks like you were smart and collected as many of the dropped items as you could. The higher your stamina the better chances you have of surviving in the harder difficulties. You can also replay any level on any difficulty to increase your stamina. Just make sure you pick up the Health items AND the Armor items because they both increase your stamina. 👍
