Call me ignorant but i was wondering what holidays the "rest of the world" gets at this time of year? obviously it would also depend on where you work, as for example in the retail sector where i used to work i only got friday off, where as now in the corporate sector i have fri-sat-sun-mon off. As friday and monday are public holidays here in Australia.

How does it stack up for you guys? and if you do have some time off have you guys got any plans?
 
I'm a Canadian, and I'm still in High School. We get Friday-Monday off. Friday and Monday are public holidays here too.
 
Same with noob, and we also have Queen's Birthday as the first Monday in June!! And England doesn't! :lol:
 
I get off tomorrow at 11 - the whole uni goes away. Looking forward to it - I've started to miss my fam and friends lately.

Emad is muslim and my family doesn't care, so we might get drunk silly inappropriate festive in Montréal.
 
We get Friday and Monday off in Britain too. I personally don't, as I work on a farm and the animals don't know it's a Bank Holiday, although I had planned to take Friday to Sunday off and go hiking with a few friends... until yesterday when one of the cattle stood on my foot and now I'm limping everywhere.

My plans: Makee some cash tennis coaching, go mountain biking, play tennis and lastly lots of revision :indifferent:

In Holland most have monday off. Friday is also for many people a day off (I don't).
 
My Easter holidays start tomorrow afternoon after school finished, they go for 12 days or so. I am hoping I dont have to go tomorrow because the weahter is apparently thunderstorms and I honestly cant be stuffed going to school in that weather. The bus WILL be 30mins later because people here cant drive in the rain above a snails pace, the trains will be screwed up by the time I get there (different trains and delays), I WILL be late for school and there is just no point travelling so far for real no education on a final day.

Basically I am hoping my holidays have started right now (if mum permits my reasoning of not going tomorrow).

Same with Nu Zilland, all Primary, Intermediate and Secondary get Friday off, until the 19th - school hols!! :cheers: ('at's Ginger Beer, BTW)
 
Friday and Monday off in Sweden as well.

Taking wife and kids to visit family.

We only get monday off here. I'm probably going to sleep till 12, eat something and be non productive in every way possible
 
Todays my first day off and I'm off untill 19th. Got nothing much to do so I will probably be on gtplanet forums 3-5hours a day.

Easter holiday off? Yeah right! :banghead: After New Years, the next holiday off for me is Memorial Day . . . in May. Though, all the schools but the universities have Friday off I believe.
 
Hm!!!! I teach at a school here in the UK. I get 1st to 19th April as hols! Sorry guys :guilty: :)

The only days I get off are Christmas and Turkey Day.....

Go back on 19th (need to go in for a bit today), got about 5 assignments to do during the holiday as well as some work-work in prep for our release this summer. I'll probably be working harder during Easter than the last few weeks at College. Something like 50 pages of work I'll end up doing.

Yup, I only have Monday off... Good Friday is unfortunately not good for me this year... :p
 
I don't get either Friday or Monday off and the only reason I don't work on Saturday is because I have weekends off already.

T.D. day today, so two weeks off School. In that time I have 5 days of rehearsals with the Wiltshire & Swindon Youth Orchestra before we do two concerts next weekend. Can't wait!
