Easy garage access idea

Just ranting a bit here.
But it'd FANTASTIC if you could access your garage in the set-up menu before an arcade race/time trial.

Currently it's set up as:
I pick my car, pick my track, and pick my gameplay of choice. In this case time trial. I do my laps have my fun and it's time to change cars. To change cars I have to go back to the main front end menu... access the garage and start all over.

The entire process of backing out of so many menus can be expedited by simply giving the player garage access in the pre-event menu (where you set your aids, tuning, look up rankings, etc).
Kind of like how players choose their car before entering an online race event.

Yes? No?
Am I alone in being totally bothered by having to go through countless menus just to run a different car on the same track?
 
are you refering to the option from GT3 where you could transfer your garage to the arcade mode?
 
You are not alone. It is a complete waste of time to have to back up all the way to the main screen. It has made me stop playing several times, when I wanted to switch cars and had to wait for the loading screens, I just turned off the ps3. I don't know why game companies don't make their games more user friendly. I could go on, and on, and on about how games menu screens are screwed up, and just a little tiny fix would make the entire experience so much better.
 
Yes, quick car change would be so nice.
 
Yes, it baffles my mind that PD hasn't implemented it. From a design and logical sense, WTH were they thinking?
 
This can get very annoying, especially in the loading screens. You can access your garage when going into an online race so I don't see why it hasn't been placed into simgle player mode. It would make our lives a lot easier.
 
And, when you've bought a car, why does it return you back to the main screen?! Also, why doesn't circle work to take you out of the race menu instead of having go right, right, right, right & right to select 'x'. Even being able to go left once to wrap back around to the right hand side would be something.
 
you could "quick-change" your car when you do events if i remember correctly
pick event -> change car -> start event

guess they weren't thinking properly
