Continued from Part I.

"Buying" a house with a red paper clip:

One red paper clip

That's not a joke, the guy was on Good Morning America today, and he was in the newspapers here. Again, brilliant. (and this time, much, much less stupid).

It’s like Craigslist amplified – brilliant!

Why must other people be so smart? :grumpy:

Heard about this guy some time ago, when he was at the Generator still. Cool to see his progress since then...

Saw this guy on AOTS on G4 a while back.

Talk about an entrepreneur. Reminds me of the Save Toby guy and that dude who buys misspelled eBay items to resell at a much higher prices (since mispelled items sound like cheap knock-offs).
Why can't I come up with something like that? There all very simple ideas, afterall!

Crazy. There are so many money making schemes.

This guy just settled into his new home in Kipling, Saskatchewan! Check his site...

Kipling, Saskatchewan? The red paper clip is probably worth more.

…wow. I can’t believe that actually worked.

I always thought that living in Kipling would be exceedingly good? [/British joke]

Still, hats off to this guy....!!

Glad he finally got there. He gets to be Mayor of Kipling for one day as part of the agreement! Awesome :D

I have a used, black wiretie.

Anyone???

Make sure you get your coat when you take off your hat....

I have a house that I would be willing to swap for a new car

Any takers?

Hey, you guys want to try and do this? We'll start with something unique that someone would actually want, and see how far we can get.

If enough people are interested in strting this up, I'll make a thread to get things going. Maybe we could set a goal of an official GTP car or something.

Seem reasonable?

The link is filtered here, I'll try again at home.

Wow. As Mayor, I would declare my new house a national landmark, driving its price up by a few million.

Good idea. But who has anything of interest?

That's nothing of interest, but we could use it as a place to start. I could rummage through my room to try and find something half interesting to give away to the GTP Bank.

I think if we cannot achieve material goals, we can have fake prizes like Mod-for-a-Day or something.

Personally, I'd rather not have some of the people here be in control of anything. No offense to the select few that immediately came to mind.

I also have a holographic SolidWorks mouse pad. Not recommended for optical mice.

I have a few Dr pepper plastic bottle caps. and some rubber bands and push pins. (I'm at work, so yeh, I guess nothing interesting here)

A holographic mouse pad? That sounds pretty rad. But i only use optical mice, so i guess not for me :(

Wow, hes extremelly clever, he must have made lots of profit
