I was disappointed that the RUF RGT doesn't drive anything like an RR car should, and, having been playing around with using weird tire combinations, slapped R3s on the front and R2s on the rear. I did this rather than screw around with the suspension settings, just to see if it worked.

The short of it is that if you want to make the RGT drive like an RR car should, just slap a tire one-level harder on the rear than you have on the front. The car instantly becomes a beautifully-handling RR car, similar to the Yellowbird but easier to control. Went from being a car I never used to one of my favorites. You don't even have to muck about with the suspension at all, it works perfectly with any of the suspensions types you wish to put on the car left at default settings. I run it with Full Racing suspension at default settings most of the time.

I also disliked the 3400s because it understeers so badly, and tried the same thing with similar results. A car which (to me) drove mostly like an FF car suddenly began to drive pretty much like an MR car should.

Note that while this works easily and pretty much perfectly on these 2 cars, it does NOT work well at all on most of the other cars I have tried. On some cars you can make it work if you really want to by totally screwing with LSD and Suspensions settings, but I can't say it is worth it (except on the Ford GT).

I think it's a function of the different tire sizes and higher grip levels RUFs have over "standard" Porsches. Drive the old BTR on N-tires or Sports Mediums and it'll give you more oversteer after a little initial understeer. As it is, the newer the Porsche, in general, the more understeer that is dialled in, for safety reasons.
