:p
You wanna pass S-Licenses??? (Oh! what am I talkin' about... Everybody wants to!!!)

If you've tried almost every strategies known, (studying the demo, racing with ghosts, etc.) and you still end up screaming your ass out coz you haven't done the S-licenses yet, you might want to consider my way.. Well... I hope this can help.

:p Acquire the car needed... (no modifications)
 Go to FREE RUN and look for the course..
:D Race there again and again beating your own lap times..

EXAMPLE: for the S-2

 There's a race where you could win a GT40 race car.. (figure out what!).
;) Go to FREE RUN in the Arcade Mode and get inside that car. (you must not modify it)..
:D Run the SEATTLE II again and again until you've already mastered the turns, and the course itself.. Good thing here is that, you don't have to worry about FAILING!!!
:) Try different drive lines, braking points, and study your lap times..
 Once you have mastered the course, or when you feel you're fast enough, or when you're averaging a 1'32"00 lap time, you are GOOD TO GO!

Do this strategy with the other S-LICENCES... :D :D :D
If you think you have better idea, just feel free to post!

S-Licence is not very difficult to get. I have got it already!
If you play GTC,finish all Track-licence(very easy) and race,it will give you a S-licence an 1.000.000.000yen.(Japanese GT3-Aspec only)

GTMaster,

Your way sounds much too time-consuming.

As I've said in a previous post, I completed the S-Licenses in 4 hours on the first attempt by simply setting ghost update to <on>.

Then you just run the laps - if you fall behind your previous ghost then you re-start....if you're ahead then keep going.

Oh...and don't forget to hit the rumble strips.

Done this way, the S Licenses are amazingly easy.

I agree with Motorhead. If you can do whatever the ghost/demo car does, then at somewhere, if you can gain 0.001 sec, you are getting closer to win the licence.

eh i dont get it, whats the need for all of this? i did all but 2 of the S-licence tests first time, no practice, no study just good skills. Believe me i am not lying. :darkside: theyre just not that hard

When I got the game when it came out, all I concentrated on was the licenses. I didnt race at all until I got every one of them. Because if I had raced before I had them all complete, I would never had went back, maybe. I also thought about practicing before-hand, but I felt I would have been cheating. :D

Sometimes i like the easy way out, but i just couldn't do it. :)

My method was to take a lap a bit slower than I would normally drive. This way you get a feel for the track in relation to whatever car you are forced to use, plus it gives you a complete ghost lap to follow.
Then work your way up to the actual time you need to beat, looking at your ghost car's racing line through every section. This way you know what works, and what doesn't.
On more than one occasion I was surprised at angle/speed/method would yield better results in a corner than what I thought to be the best line. :)

I agree wirh Motorhead. The first time you drive a test, go full-speed and don't think about best racelines. The second time, look at your ghost and see where you can winn some time.
The third time it must be a lot easier to score a good time.
It worked for me :D

I also found this. It's often faster to take an early turn-in and late apex. Makes sense, because it helps you take more speed out of the corner and onto the straight. And remember, the most important turn on every track is the last one before the longest straight! ;)

I don't know what it is about the S Licenses - they're not hard at all. Yeah, some of them are frustrating, with the way if you go to fast you crash and fail, but if you go too slow, your time expires.

Thing is, the S License would be hard if you're like 20% through the game, or if you got to 70% but just using an F1 car everywhere, but if you've got even an ounce of skill and a bit of patience, and some experience of the game, you'll get through it without much of an issue.

And all the people who say that the Miata test is hard really need to go think about how they're playing the game, because I passed that test second time, and the Time Trial first time, and I'm by no means the best driver on GTP.

And well done GTMaster for coming up with your innovative, multicoloured smilie strategy. Who'd have thought that practising would make you go faster!
