Easy way to invite friends to your lounge?

I had a Lounge going today and noticed not one person wanted to join, so I was looking while I had my lounge setup I couldn't figure out how to invite people. Is there a way to do this while you are in your Lounge?

What I did was sent a message to my friend via XMB and told him to go into GTLife and see if he could join my Lounge and that is what he did. But it's got to be easier than that right?

Tell your friend to go to his community section click on your name then on YOUR 'my lounge' and he will be able to join you. I havent yet found an invite button.

Yeah that is what he did I just wish I could invite him from game instead of having to go to the xmb and then tell him to join.

Yeah i know what you mean, how did they miss the invite lol
 
+100000000000000 im a bit disappointed with the private room system. First of all it's COMPLETELY seperate from the main open lobby section and i only found it after reading about it and secondly you can't invite your friends! Fail.
 
Same conclusion here as I had before with the message boards, we will still need:gtplanet: to know where to go.

So there is a way to host a private room?
Please enlighten me as I could not find the place to select a private session or to add a password.

as i understood it "my lounge" is private and you can define the settings
 
Really hope a invite friend/person to room feature will get patched in at some point.
 
why cant they make it easy? Call of duty invite system is so simple!!! They need something like that. Dont rage on me for playing COD
 
I love COD multiplayer. PD could and should have taken a few pages out of Activision's book. I just don't understand. 6 years in development and we are having to patch and fix a incomplete multiplayer setup. Sad really. :nervous:
 
Looks like they should have taken a few notes from Forza and mod nation racers as well.. People love to customize! lol
 
But i did not find any way to set password for private lounge.. Anybody find it?
It sucks because sometimes i just want to drive with ONE friend and stop all other friends to join..
 
anyone have problems joining a friends lounge? More specifically "network incompatibility [771]" error?
 
Seriously now. What the **** goes through someones head to make an online system so S*IT!!!! The thought process is beggars belief!
 
I love racing online but it needs a complete overhaul, 6 year in the making! Pd epic fail
