There's a certain topic in games that have some people kind of growing tired of, and that's something like an androgynous character. I've heard of characters like Tidus (Final Fantasy X), the villian Kuja (Final Fantasy 9), Bridget (Guilty Gear series), or the hottest of them all, Poison (Final Fight and Street Fighter 3). Especially with us men, we'd be rather concerned or touchy about playing a male character that's "girly." If you know your Anime, you may have heard of Bishonen. For the rest of us, bishonen is the opposite of bishoujo. Bishonen's rough translation means "beautiful boy." Now I know what you're thinking, but the magical thing about this is that some of the artists of these "beautiful boys" design these males to the point where they appear a LOT more feminine. The best example of this is Final Fantasy 9's villain Kuja. Based on a website I read before (look above intro paragraph), one website said that Kuja is the brother of Zidane, so it's already proven Kuja is a male character. The bishounen/bishonen and tomboy-ish ladies in games usually have some people mixed up on if a certain character is of a certain sex.
GTPlanet, this topic is all about male video game characters who appear or act completely effeminate, and female video game characters who appear too masculine but are actual female characters. I bet a big number of replies will likely be on Final Fantasy characters over time. So if you have something to share relevant to this topic, then reply away. It's all about those mistaken for women/men in video games, people.
