Eight Car Field?

It is my understanding that the online play on GT4 will feature an eight car field. Is it a reasonable assumption that the other modes will feature eight cars (as opposed to the normal six) as well? I guess we'll know for sure in a few days.
 
I hope it does. An 8 car field is a lot better than 6, but I was really hoping for a 10 or 12 car field..... too bad thats not going to happen.
 
however the more cars on the track the less quality the graphics have.

I know that... but I would rather have 11 good opponents and OK graphics than to have 5 bad opponents and great graphics. After all, the reason I buy the game is for the racing.
 
there also 8 cars in I-link mode! don't know if it's also in single player (would be logical!!)
 
I would rather have them improve the AI first before adding more opponents...

I said that... 11 good opponents and OK graphics than to have 5 bad opponents and great graphics.
 
They can still have good graphics. Take test drive lemans for DC for example. That was one of the best looking games for DC and it was able to have 20 cars on the track at once.
