Erm... well done... I suppose?

You are part and parcel of this site so I guess nothing bad about it.

Thank the Buddha you’ve already got a family because that kind of dedication is a deal breaker.

but I've also driven a Dacia Sandero now.

Great News!.gif

Don't look at me that way, someone had to do it. :P

Congrats on the milestone.

60.000 posts, if we assume that the average post takes about a minute to be written down we are talking about 1000 hours / or 41 and a half days of non-stop posting. And 1 minute is a very conservative estimation.

His posts aren't average...they're exceptional!

It's now 5,458 days, and apparently I've hit 60,000 posts.

So... about this...

Somehow I breezed through 70,000 posts without really noticing, but this would be post #80,000.

For those of you interested, I've been here for 20 years (missed that too) and just under three weeks, which at a total of 7,322 days makes for 10.93 posts per day. That's a little less than my mean per diem up to 60,000, but I've actually been pretty consistently at over 10.5 for the entire time I've been here.

Oddly, I've only marked a handful of the big four-zeroes, but looking back:

40,000 at 3355 days = 10,000 posts per 838.75 days
50,000 at 4275 days = 10,000 posts per 855.00 days
60,000 at 5458 days = 10,000 posts per 909.66 days
80,000 at 7322 days = 10,000 posts per 915.25 days

In principle I should reach 100,000 posts somewhere around 4th August 2028.

Of course some the recent ones have been automated, with the forum software created a post for every article I write (usually 2-4 on a week day). On the flip side of that, a lot of those were - until a change last year - assigned to that cheeky @GTPNewsWire who must have stolen about 500 posts off me. Curse you, Newsie!

Currently I'm also the only member to reach not only 80,000 posts, but also 70,000 posts, and still 60,000 posts despite this thread marking that occasion just over five years ago. Only one other member has reached 50,000 posts (in the eight-and-chunks years since this thread was posted), but we have four in the 40ks and nine in the 30ks now.

Otherwise, congrats on another milestone. The bold purple text is your watermark of conversation which shows up in most threads I read, so no wonder it's 80,000. Here's to 20,000 more.

Good thing you said possibly... :P
Nah, the 60K post was the most useless because he no longer has 60K. When he reaches his next milestone, this one can become possibly the most useless.

10 posts per day for 20 years....

Thats longevity that Federer, Djokovic, Rossi, Hamilton, Schumacher, Brady, Lebron, Messi, Ronaldo, Gretzky and Tendulkar can only dream of.

Congrats on this insane achievement! Back in the day i thought people with a post count of 10,000 were forum gods, but you've left them in your dust.

It's probably been asked before, but do you have a shortcut/quick way to apply your infamous post colour, or have you manually changed the colour of every single one of your 80k + posts?

Also, how many keyboards have you gone through to the 80k mark? :scared:

I became a GTP member 18 years ago. 18 years of daily visiting, with lots of reading but rare posting, as my humble less than 7000 posts reveals. Yours are impressive stats Famine, congratulations!

I’m 10 years in with half your post count. Looked at the member list…. That’s crazy. I honestly don’t feel I post as much as many other members.
