El Capitan in 2 player Arcade

Well I have done a search and have come up with nought an explanation so I thought I would put my noob neck on the chopping block.

Why is that I can choose the track El capitan in the single player arcade modes but it is not a choice in the 2 player Vs. arcade mode? Does it need to be unlocked or what? I'm pretty sure this is the case for a few other tracks, but I just want El Capitan to work!

I too have this problem, and i'm affraid its bad news.I am at 100% and have unlocked everything and there is no 2 player El Capitan....I think there is a couple of other tracks like this also.
 
i am 110% certain i raced against my dad in 2 player on el capitan.

maybe you need to go to the multiplayer track selection in the options and select it.
 
It appears you can race el capitan in multilink LAN races, not 2 player arcade races though. Obviously i have checked in the original track sections, though it is not there. I tried the different settings in the multiplayer track selection area as well, though that only changes what tracks are available in multi-link LAN races it seems.

Any other ideas?
 
I have a weird feeling that the PS2 just cant handle a split screen with 2 views on El Capitan without going to shaky hell.

That track is on the verge of shaking with only my in-car view just driving around by my lonesome. Rendering all those trees, mountains and other vehicles is pretty hard for the old girl. Still one of my all time favorite tracks to drive and look at though.
