WOW... That is the new king of the Late Brakers !... Nice going - I love it when he takes two cars - on the outside !... Pretty odd he starts THAT long back..

And you gotta love the Downhill section of Bathurst 👍

Very cool 👍

How was he so much faster than the rest? Especially overtaking the last guy. It was like he was almost standing still!

holy freakin' crap... You do NOT go around the outside of two cars at once like that OVER SKYLINE!

that guy's got some friggin' BALLS.

Wow. Just... wow

he carries a ton of speed through the downhill, apparently alot more than the other guy.

A very entertaining video, and I'm presuming a very entertaining series.

No bumpers on these cars means a lot of broken front and rear clams. Those suckers certainly ain't cheap...

:scared:   Must watch again! :right click save as:

Just watched the clip again and I'm wondering why the driver backs off at the end...

Just as he comes onto the straight (conrod?) he shifts up and then backs right out of the throttle...

You can't complain. As far as general track passing manners go, he did his fair bit in keeping in a unique line. There was only one (maybe two) case where he pinched into someone's line, but that's because he outbraked them and was carrying more speed. That's a good pass in my books. Frustrating, yes, but not unsportsmanlike.

:odd: What about when he passed those three cars and cut the curb... That would definitely earn a penalty like a black flag...

still had two wheels on track... its all good. :)

Well, if you look closely, he touched (and pushed wide) a yellow one from the inside. That would clearly deserve a penalty IMO. Even if he was faster, he didn't have the right of way, he was behind at the entry of that curve. Otherwise, that was a brilliant drive. 👍

I think the curb cutting is fine, he still has two wheels on the track, I've seen Zanardi winning a race like this on a final lap in ChampCar.

Wow, that was some pretty wicked driving. I agree though, it seemed like a few times he may have touched another car on the way through.

Doesn't Dean Evans work for Motor magazine (Australia)? I may be getting confused with someone else though.

:odd: WTF? When did just keeping two wheels on the track become a rule? That's as retarded as only having to "break" the plain of the touch down line in football.

It's a rule in F1 AFAIK.

Ok... so why is racing called racing it should be WRC then... I don't know where I've been but I've always thought racing was ALL 4 tires on the road at all times. :dopey:

It's kind of hard to get 2 tyres off the track in NASCAR I guess.....

J/K

Have you ever been into the racing forums? It's always at least 2 wheels on the track at all times.

And some great driving 👍

Jeez, that one pass down the inside at 1:20... the gap must've been 6 inches wider than the car! Great driver, fo sho.

BTW: Elise-40kUSD F40-340kUSD, which would you rather take a risk in at a track day?
