Many of you will remember Elite from your youth - it was certainly one of my landmark games way back in the mid eighties. One of the geniuses behind it, David Braben now runs Frontier Developments - a games studio of some repute..
Braben wants to redevelop Elite for current gen hardware - I for one frankly am excited at the prospect of this. If you want to help a good cause, the Kickstarter page can be found here:

Without Elite, gaming would be a poorer place - let's hope it lives again.
