I was lucky enough to attend this race and decided to share a few pics my son took (also gtplanet member, username here is "madbigdog" ), you can watch a few of them using this link:

I had also a handycam available, but the result is very poor. However, the sound of those cars is amazing, and that you can hear. The clip starts the moment I was arriving at the track (LMS warm up was starting) so the first few takes are from behind the fence in the paddock area. After that you have a few takes from the classic le mans car race and, to the end, the start of the 1000 kms ELMS race.

I know Alex was there also, and I checked his SPA pictures in this forum to have a good memory of how he looks like and hopefully meet him, but I didn't spot him there. If Fernando Rees was racing I would know where to look for Alex, but since the Barazi/Epsilon team didn't show up I was clueless about where Alex could be. I just hope he had fun and hopefully he has more (and better) pictures to show here.

In all, I just want to say that the LM cars are an amazing sight (and sound) and that my desire to attend Le Mans next year became even more pressing :)

The classics were also amazing and even the V8 Superstars cars were very interesting.

We also had races from the "world series by Renault" formula cars, with the added interest of Alguersuari racing that series.

To end, the track is nothing short of amazing, with all kinds of corners and constant differences in track elecations. I'm going to buy the "V8 Superstars" PS3 game just to be able to race there :D

Hope you guys enjoy thepictures and video 👍

Thanks for some great stuff Hun200kmh 👍

So how's the noise these cars produce? When viewing that YouTube film, it didn't seem that bad. Or did you have earplugs or anything on you to block some of the noise they make? I can imagine there is a big difference between the petrol cars, and especially the Aston V12s, and the Diesel powered cars incase of noise. 👍

Do you mind if I post some of my pics in here too? :D

I didn't have a paddock pass, but due to my epic persuasiveness and cunning I managed a good 3 hours inside the track

You are more than welcome, looking forward to see your pics! 👍

I was constantly looking everywhere trying to find you, pity we didn't meet. :indiff:

PS - Next time, we must get ourselves t-shirts and caps saying GTPLANET to be sure we'll meet :D

I got reasonably close to the world series cars

When I saw that picture of Alguersuari's helmet I thought ... "I can't believe this, we must have been a few meters apart from each other !!!!"

So, I went for my 600 photo-album from the race and .... there you are!

PS - My guess is that you probably have pictures of me and my son. Look for a bearded guy wearing a "Eddie Lawson" t-shirt (i told you, old biker's t-shirt :D ) next to a 12 year old kid holding a camera!
