When you load gt5 again and it says something like 'loading saved race data' for the endurace race that has been saved; what happens if you press O and cancel it from loading. Will I lose my saved race or will I go to the main menu or something. I don't really want to try my luck and cancel it myself because I'm 5:40:00 into the le mans 24hrs :/

i think you ether cancel your race progress and go to main menu and eventually you will have to start the race from scratch or continue the race

So if I cancel, I may lose my progress? That sucks... I won't finish this race for a while and I won't be able to get the dlc until I finish aswell. What was the thought process at PD? They're depriving me of enjoying 2Player, arcade, track creator and the rest of the game in general :( …

The idea was you replace the pause button with suspend and quit.
Nothing more.

Meh, not such a good idea after all then, even if it does give me a chance to do a 24hr race.

How does SAVE GAME in B-spec works.. I have now 9 hour race... how do I save it??? just quit? will it give me an option... or there is no way to save B spec???

Not sure about b spec, I don't do too much of it. Have you tried going into the pits and looking for an option to suspend?

will try later on, thanks!

aha post it in one of the 1000 other "endurance" threads they pop up like hell 👎

well if i got tommorow a prob with gt5 i also open a sensless thread:tup:

you CAN save A and B - spec race... going into pits and select "suspend" it will overwrite your save game data.. you will have to press PS button and quit the game.. if you dont sava game returns back to normal and you get to GT life menu... so.. PITS - SUSPEND (SAVE GAME) - PS button - quit game... it says when you return next time race will continue... so you cant save endurance and drive other races!

... so you cant save endurance and drive other races!

Ah that's what I came here to find out.

I sort of hoped you could start an enduro, after a few hours save it. Then have a save file stored away somewhere, that you could get back to when it next suited you.

So that you had the freedom to do other GT5 things (series races etc) and then get back to your enduro whenever you had a few hours to spare.

So not quite what I was hoping for . . :indiff:

Anyways, thanks for the clarification 👍

Don't suspends it during rain. I did and when I came back to it all the AI cars had these sport super soft tires on that crushed my racing rain tires.

Major glitch. You can't keep pace and fall back out of contention.

Wow wow wow, 1) too late I saved it during rain a few days ago, 2) so it was still raining but AI had (effectively) slicks on and still had the grip in the wet?

I am only about 90 min in the 24 hours Le Mans, and have just saved my progress.. Are using the Mazda 787B ;)

I'm using my Audi r10. I'm starting to wish I was using the Mazda because for me it has more bite and it feels good through slow and fast corners.

The R10 is a great choice, reason why i took the Mazda was it got a sweet cook-pit view & sounds amazing also. Almost 4 hours in to the race now, and light is beginning to faint a bit, so hopefully the head lights will light up the road enough to see :D

I saved my 9hr enduro and went back to it and it was fine then I did it again but when I went back to it the2nd time my GT by Citroen road car hit Bspec mode and wouldn't stop ramming the pit wall on the straight... totally P!553D off, I could have punched my TV :-(

Oh one thing about night driving, I don't know if it's just me who thinks this but, I can hardly see the road ahead of me, even with full beam lights. The barriers either side of me are well lit but I can only see the curbs of the corners when I'm practically onto of them. One big thing that helps me know where I'm going is the blue driving line which jumps out against the blackness of the road. I'm not too keen, I'd rather navigate my way along the track by seeing the corners instead of following the driving line.

Cant wait to do one of the 2 24h, so I'll be able to start yet another thread about saving my progress :)

Does the rain glitch always happens???

I am now driving in complete dark, and i am glad that i used the Mazda 787B cause it lights the road up pretty good. But you can also add a bit more light, if you pause the game, go to the quick options, and there is a function that normally is set at 0, set it to +1.0 and everything lights up a bit more ;)

Hopefully it will not start to rain while its dark :O

PS i am almost 8 hours in the race now...

I finished the 1000km Suzuka endurance over 4 days (I played a little bit everyday), and although the XP/CR multiplier was applied for this specific race, I found that once I exited and ran a seasonal race, the multiplier reset back to 100% i.e. it acted as if I had not previously logged in.

I was planning on starting another endurance, but in order to get back to a 200% bonus, I'll have to wait 4 days. Hopefully, this gets patched in the next update.

FYI in my race, it rained from lap 30 until the very end (about 80% of the race). During this time, I suspended the race 3-4 times and I did not run into any issues with the tires of the AI cars 'switching' to slicks when resuming.

Thank god, that's a relief :)

What if I wan't to change my settings?? I started the Le mans 24 but apparently my button for light has changed so four hours into the race it starting to get dark and I got no light. :(

Press pause, go to the settings area, select brightness.

Yeah it's balls. Only thing I can suggest is leaving your ps3 on & getting a fan for it if ya don't have one already.

Do I have a special ps3 or something? I've heard of all this overheating talk but I've left my ps3 on overnight and through the day quite a few times. Quite often if an update is taking forever and I have to go somewhere else, I'll turn the tv off but leave my ps3 running. When I come back to it it's absolutely fine. I once felt to see if there where any 'hot spots' but nope, nothing on top, the sides, the back or bottom and the air coming out of the internal fan wasn't any different to what it usually was.

The older fatties tend to overheat more mate but it's not a given that it will. With a few precautions you can have none at all!

I keep mine on wood & not in a confined space (entertainment unit for eg) & I have a fan too. I got YLOD back in '07 but since then it's been sweet.

Oh & cleaning them on inside helps, I get mine serviced on the reg :)

18 Hours in the race now, and 300 laps passed. It was some long hours in complete dark, and after that, it looked really nice when the sunrise came ;)
