hi all,

Never been interested in driving one of the endurance races because i'd rather not kill my PS3 by having it on all day.

I think i heard somewhere that you can save your game during the endurance races. Is that true? if so how do you do it?

Forgive the noob question.

cheers

You have to drive into the pits, and click "suspend race". Good luck for these races! 👍

When you enter the pits, you get a menu where you chose what tires and how much fuel you want.

Now, you select the 'Suspend' option in the bottom right corner, and it will save your race.
Then you will have to quit GT5 or resume the race.

Also, next time you boot GT5 up, you will resume the race.

You CAN suspend your race like the others have said, but if the only reason you want to do that is to not "kill" your PS3, I wouldn't be worried. I accidentally left my PS3 for a whole week when I was out of town, and I had absolutely no issues

Yes as for killing your PS3 you have nothing to worry about, I used to leave mine on 24/7 for 2-3 months at a time, mines on right now and has been for 5 days solid. Your system will reach a max temp and stay there it wont get hotter and hotter until it melts (unless your fan fails)

Its actually the turning on/off that causes stress to electrical equipment.

Before you take on the endurance races, have a read of my guide in my signature. It will help A LOT

I understand this sir, but my point is that there is nothing to worry about hardware wise when you do endurance races 👍

You think I get mine for free? But yeah the people who say that their cousins brothers girlfriends sons broke when they where doing an endurance race and left ps3 on is nothing more than coincidence.
