Anyone got experience using the diesel Peugeot 908 or the Audi R10 in endurance events both in B-spec and A-spec?

Is there any benefit using the diesel cars with supposedly better fuel efficieny?

In real life, yes, but what about the game?

Would be cool if it actually made a difference using a diesel..

I would expect that the effect is somewhat neglectable, because they cut the fuel tanks on the Diesel Le Mans cars. For petrol engines it's currently 90 litres, for Diesel 81 litres.
 
By the way, I have another question: Is there a black cloud when you go after a diesel car?
