It seems as though the fuel loads during endurance races aren't right. You're supposed to be faster with the lightened fuel load, but that isn't always the case from the endurance races I've done. I'm sure there may be multiple factors here such as the 'ballast towards the rear' effect. I ask because I'm going to do the 24hr Nurburgring race sometime soon and am prepping for it. I'm considering keeping a full load of fuel at every stop instead of keeping the minimum on board. What you you folks think and what have you experienced(not necessarily in that race but overall)?

Use the minimum. It makes a huge difference in both lap time and tire wear. Just don't cut it too fine and run out coming off of Galgenkopf.

It affects the handling, that has been documented. I'm not sure, however, that it effects acceleration/top speed. I'm pretty sure PD only took weight distribution, not actual weight, into account in that regard. Hope I could help :).

But, as said above, using the minimum is fairly simple and helps the car handle.

I ran out on the backstraight off Indy, and went 50 mph all the way around and too the pits. Luckily it was early enough that I could catch my way up
