Hi I have been a member of gt planet but i have not had the opportunity to ace any one from the site so i thought i would change that.

Being great fan's of the infamous 'green hell' me and a friend have been talking about hosting a Nurburgring Endurance Race.

Regulations are still to be verified but for the first race i was thinking along these lines -

Track - Nurburgring 24hr change weather/time.
Laps - the first race to test the waters about 15 - 2- laps.
Cars - about 250 bhp* such as the -
Mazda Roadster RC
Alfa Romeo (the ten million credit one cant remember the name off hand).
*any car around about that power limit.

we really want this to be fun so please any one can enter no matter how good you are as long as you play sensibly, cleanly and fairly.

Please let me know if you would be interested and any ideas are also welcome.

I'm in the same situation than you :)
I only know one person from the forum, and yes, we have become very good friends, and we race almost every week, but it would be so much fun to be able to do something like, so, count me in 👍

The only issue, I'm from South America, but we can adjust the time frame, don't you?

See you.

glad to hear it at the moment i have 4 people plus you thats 5 once i get more interest ill start putting up times, dates and driver lists so please more drivers needed everyone

Brilliaint lads great feedback, like i said i wont put the dates and that set yet but im thinking about starting around 9pm saturday or sunday depending on many circumtances. Im in ireland so if someone wants to work out time zones for me (im not sure how it works) i would be very appreciative. As a rough estimate we have 7 drivers, i will put up a list of confirmed drivers today, once again thanks everyone.

Guys, you lads are more than welcome join my casual racing group if you're keen!

I'd be keen on enduro depending on timing here in Aus but we hold regular enduro races and smaller races too, all in the name of good fun :).

Anyway check out the C.R.A.P page via my sig :tup

You would probably have better luck if you posted in the online event forum. Also, don't just regulate cars by hp unless you're going to very strictly limit the list of eligible cars. HP is a terrible performance marker.

You guys should talk to Loskey1(that's his Psn don't remember his GTP name right now...), we did a Nurb 4hr online race a few months back and he used to do 1hr spot races every now and then. Very good competition and very clean drivers!

While I don't think I'd compete in this, might I suggest possibly bumping your cap restrict to 500pp cars instead of 250hp cars? There's a range of vehicles that are close to that PP maximum that could make a really interesting race. Be they Group A/WRC Rally cars, various Touring cars, Race Mods, GT300 class cars and lastly the (modified) Miata TC and CR-Z TC.

I created such a list for my own racing series idea that I continue to tinker with and I've tested all of those cars (and I mean ALL of them) and the largest time gap around my testing course (Deep Forest) was 3 seconds. Considering all of my cars are not properly tuned I see no reason that they could run near identical times. It should be noted too that no single class of car is faster than the others, with all of the cars running anywhere in between the time gap.

I've also just begun testing "Street" cars around 500PP and I've found that they too run the gap in that time range, granted they're a bit more hairy to drive...

The only reason I offer is because I don't know how many *good* car options there are around the 250hp mark.

Plenty of cars, that's exactly why this appealed to me. If you want to win, you have to be a faster and more consistent driver. Mistakes are more costly at lower horsepower.
