Endurance race weather and save feature glitch

Hello everyone.
I am currently doing the 24 hour Nürburgring.
When I stopped the race earlier it was raining with track moisture at 100%.
I now want to start again, but the main screen show me 0% water on track, before I press resume race.
Due to the glitch the AI cars on track will now have switched to dry tyres, and the rain tyres they were using before will magically be switched to dry tyres.
I don't want that.
Do you know how I can somehow get the mainscreen to show 100% water?
Will I be able to turn off my playstation and start over until it shows 100%?
I am currently 5 hours into it, and I really don't want to mess that up by trying to exit the race and suddenly loose all my progress.

Honestly I ain't got a scooby but I suggest you back up save data to thumb drive usb thingy before you do anything else, then when that save's nice and safe try the things you just suggested and let us all know if you have any luck, i'd love to know as this is a new one to me.
 
Just race at 0%. Shouldn't be too hard!
 
Thanks guys. I tried waiting, but after a couple of minutes and it didn't raise the moisture level i just tried it and then slowed down to let the guys behind get safely to the pits and get their new tyres on and then i resumed when the gap was around the same as before i suspended the race. I might try out rebooting my system next time, and safe the data on a USB drive as hairystig suggested.
