Has anyone else noticed the stupidity of the AI drivers/team managers in the longer endurance races?
I never noticed it in the A-spec, but i've only did up to the Laguna Seca one and was probably more focused on my own driving rather than the other cars. I also never noticed it in any races before the 24hr ones, maybe they just weren't long enough for this to come into effect.
Anyway, I put on the B-Spec LE Mans 24hr in La Sarthe and went to bed, when I next checked, 10-11 hours into the race, the entire field with the exception of the 2 Vipers were pitting every single lap!
The only explanation I have for this is they have an auto pit strategy set up at 10-20% or something. This makes it completely ridiculously easy as they are losing 30-40 seconds a lap on a 3min 30sec course. I'd have to pit every 8 laps in a LMS car because of fuel meaning they are pitting 7 extra times or 3:30-4:40 minutes wasted leading me to lap them easily (even using a standard LMS car and using the D-pad on the controller as I do which loses several seconds a lap compared to someone on a wheel)
A reasonably good driver could win this race against LMS cars in a GT-R, which isn't realistic at all.
