After 2 3/4 hrs of a 4 hour endurance race, I needed a "pit stop"....refilled my coffee, went to the bathroom, checked a ps3 message, gave the dog a treat...etc etc....got settled back in and promptly hit the restart button.....FML.....
i think a lot of people have done this. i was enjoying laughing at some of the stories until i did this 20 minutes from the end of the laguna seca endurance. it's really not that funny it turns out..

Tired Tyres.... Havent re-created it yet....as Im B-specing now out of disgust..But I do know I hit the gas pedal to select restart (which I have done before, just dont normally use it though)....instead of using the d-pad and triangle/x on the wheel...
It partly happened because im an idiot im sure lol....

in gt4 i paused the game about 3 hrs away from the nurb 24 hr race to go to sleep and my mom turned it off in the morning.... needless to say me and pops had a word with her

Stupid enough they didn't implement a 'Are you sure ?' question with long races alone and short ones without. But when you want to install a freaking hood on your car you have to answer 10 questions ...aaarg the agony.

I've quit a few races by accident. Sometimes while paused I'll turn the wheel from opposite lock to opposite lock to keep a good calibration. If I end on far right lock and hit the gas, bye bye race! All other GTs had a pop up asking if we were sure we wanted to quit, why is this missing?
This is yet to happen to be. Have the latest 260gb ps3. I'm about yo do the 4hr race and hope it doesn't happen to me. Beat so many ndurance races on b ad a spec and yet to have any problems.
Yeah i did this, I was on lap 79 out of 90 around Laguna. It had taken me 2 hours to get to that point and then bam! It was gone in an instant. I was surprised there was no option asking me if i was sure.
This same bs happen to me on the 24hr race i was 19 hours in paused it fell asleep and i had dropped the ds3 by mistake when i woke up i was 6 hours in and in dead last. The race restarted when i dropped the pad.
