Well since I've completed the game I am redoing the endurances races again to win the F1 car out of each. I've aquired 13 so far and 9 are different colours/asperation.

anyways the one endurance race which I've not won the F1 car in is Akasaka. So taking the Calsonic tuned to 670ish hp I begin AGAIN for the 7th time.

Now many of us get bored as I've read so a way to keep my wits on me is to first off lap the field. At this hp leve it takes about 12 laps running consistant 1:30.XXX. I then picked the Penziol to finish 2nd. So I ran blocker for that car the rest of the race. Damn that Denso Supra is a pain in the arse aye. I managed to accomplish my feet and the Penzoil got 2nd and won that darn Rx for the 5th time! grrrrrrr.

Anyways what do you guys/gals do to keep yourselves occupied during the long races?

For the confused people, Akasaka is the district in Tokyo where the Tokyo Rt. 246 track is.

I think everybody knows Cote de Azur is Monaco, but this seems a little silly. Is the track actually called Akasaka in some versions?

I'm currently doing the Pro All Japan GT, and I've been doing about the same thing. The Denso Supra usually beats the other AI cars by about half a lap, so I've been beating him up so he finishes last every race.

I use a slower car so the AI cars don't fall to far behind. GT3 is more fun that way.:D

Actually the hp is very close to the AI's, as there is little in it down the long main stretch. There might be about 1- 1.5 seconds max. I make up all the time in the handling.:D

BadBatsuMaru:

On the Pal version I've got it is called two different names. Tokyo R246 or Akasaka depeding on the race and icon. The same with Rome. It is either Rome or The Colloseum.

Well, I guess there's another way they decided to **** up the PAL version. That's just strange. Not as strange as taking out 4 of the F1 cars, though.

In the PAL version, the full name of the track is...

Tokyo Route 246: Akasaka (and Tokyo Route 246: Akasaka Reverse)...

To occupy myself during endurances, I aim for the top times at Racing-Line... :D

Me, I use first person like always and try and get the best possible time and try and do it as if I were driving in real life. I like to do endurance races in the living room with all the windows shut, sitting in a bean bag in front of the T.V. with the sound up. That way, I get a realistic effect.

Its all about the realism...:)

but then you have to slow down when the cone decides to take that hop.... Yeah i usually have a sing a long with my CD's but anyway just have a competition with your cd, and see who messes up first.

Typically my friend and I do the Enduro's together. We switch-off every ten laps or so, to stretch. It keeps us mentally sharp. I like the SuperSpeedway enduro. I use an Escudo and i can set my analog to accelerate with the right-stick. Then rubber-band the two sticks together. The car rides the ouside wall, and I go off and do whatever, then i race the last 20 laps and win.

In the Rome Endurance I got a cone and knocked it around the whole track once. It took me about 50 laps to do it as well.

And I thought that I was the only person to do that
Kind of ashame though that you have to do stuff likr that to keep yourself amusued on the greatest racing game ever made:odd:

i have only done 2 enduros mainly because i havnt got the top 3 cars yet (787B, R390 GT1) and because they are boring. If ne one has a more funner match up please let me know. if the AI didnt pit every 4 to 5 laps it might be easer to judge. GT4 should have Adaptive AI or sumtin so this doesnt happen

OK...It's called "Road Cone Rugby"

Small Fryz: Try using a Stock Calsonic Skyline for Grand Valley 300, or Tokyo R246. Set them up on T3's so you have a better grip cycle, and give it a run. This car can win both races, if you're a half way decent driver.

As for Trial Mtn, take an NSX on T4 tires. Easy car to drive and should give a decent run.

If you drive a car with woefully inadequate Horsepower, staying with the competition, and winning is enough to keep me amused.
Try Road to Colleseo in a 250 HP Civic Type R, with T4 tires. You probably won't have any major probs with the Renault, however, If the Griffith shows up you will only win if you have good pit strategy.

Try Cote d'Azur in an R-390 road car with stage 1 Turbo. If the 787B doesn't show you'll have an easy time of it...but if it does show your race will be rather interesting....

Sure the enduros can be dull. But if you detune the car you plan to use, or change your plan to include a less powerful car, you will have some adrenaline rush...
After all, who wants to enter an enduro, run for an hour or more, and LOSE?

To stop myself geting bored i try and set the best lap time's i will ever do. I Take things as serious as i possibly can. Even at half past 3 in the morning if you take things serious you will never get bored or tired. i always act like they can still win even though im 20 laps in front. This or playing music realy loud

I always try to beat my best lap times to keep me going in endurance races. It is fun trying to beat your times, especially if it is a hard one to beat. That is always a challenge.

Well ran it again last night for the 8th time and won the bloody Silvia! This time though I consintrated on consistant lap times. My best stint was after the second pit stop where once my super hards T1's I believe, warmed up I managed 10 straigth laps within .6 of each other. All 1:30.2xx to 1:29.6xx The odd laps were in traffic where I slowed to the high 1:31's and did a couple of sweet laps of 1:28.8's State of tune was 677hp at the beginning of the race.

when i race endurance i take it in secters than take a brake like ill do 30 sleep and do another 30 that way my head wont hert of the sound of the car over and over again
