Enduro Hall - Which Car/Race?

I've finally given in and realise I need to do one of the Endurance hall races to get a quick car. Im reluctant since i A-spec everything, B-spec seems to be cheating somehow. Ive looked through the cars that can be won and think ive narrowed it down to 4:

MITSUBISHI FTO Super Touring Car '97
BENTLEY Speed 8 Race Car '03
NISSAN R92CP Race Car '92
TOYOYTA 88C-V Race Car (MINOLTA) '89

The reason im after a car of this type is to compeat in the World Championship which none of my current cars have any remote chance of finishing above 4th in any of the races. My driving style is 'erratic' I tend to break late, get round the corner (apex is used very lightly) then boot it down the straight where most of my time is gained.

So I suppose my question is which car out of the above list is the quickest down a straight and what would people recommend? Or is it worth just doing the 24hr 'ring to gain the F1 car (If this can be used in the World CHampionship?
Thanks for you help.

Quickest cars (in no particular order):
Minolta Toyota 88C-V '89
Nissan R92CP '92
Sauber Mercedes C9 '89

Best car to run GT World:
Same cars as above. Although I think all Group C cars will be good enough.:)

I suggest you to do the 200miles El Capitain first and get the Toyota 88-V first. It's the most easy endo and the car you are getting is awesome. :sly:

You can't get to the Extreme Hall and win the Sauber without completing the Professional Hall. So scratch that. Your best bet i to run the ElCapitan endurance to win the Minolta. It is really overkill for the Pro Hall Championship, an easy win for most. At El Capitan any top end sports car will suffice. Saleen, Ford GT, I won it again last night for fun, with a 427 HP used Lotus SE V8. Lapped all but 2nd and within 25 seconds of catching him.
I personally played other circuits, manufacturer races and such until day 694, and bought the 4 black LMP's in the used lots. There's a thread around here somewhere if your interested in that. All four are more than capable of winning the GT World Championship.
By the way the El Capitan Enduro is one of the shortest, at 66 laps. At roughly 2 minutes per lap could be Aspec'd in roughly 2 1/2 hours or Bspec'd in 45 minutes.

Good Luck, JParker

Go for the Toyota Minolta 88C-V '89
Do El Capitan 200 Miles!!
Very easy and it wins you the Minolta, which is what I used to win the *GTWC*!!
It should go smoothly, and also, you can use the Minolta for the 24HR. Enduro on "The Ring"...
Of course that would be lame...I used a slower car for a more challenging race and I did it in A-Spec =)
I have 100% complete now and I like too brag so please excuse me LOL j/k!!
Well, good luck on your attempts!!

Good for you L28eT :) , unfortunately i still have mission34 on top of my head :yuck: , but i know i will finish it tonight, because last night i managed to pulled 1.3sec slower than the sl300 :grumpy:

Any LMP / group C car will do the job for the GTWC. But I bet you're going to struggle with a mitsu FTO.
As you intend to do it in a-spec, El capitan is the shortest way to earn one of the cars you mentioned. And like others, I would say the Toyota 99C V is a really good one.

Have a nice race,

Snypa

I have been hanging around these forums for a while now, and there is a definate trend that I have noticed, which is that people seem to forget about the prize cars that you get from both the licence tests, but more importantly the missions.

As the prize car for completing missions 29-24 is the nissan r89 which stock, is enough to get you wins on series like the last race in the professional hall.

Okay, maybe a stupid question, but since I generally only watch F1 (and occasionally GT/DTM) motorsports IRL, can someone please clarify the difference between (or maybe just the definition of) LMP and Group C cars? My understanding is that they are one and the same, and are the closed or open-top race cars used in Le Mans.

Is this correct?
