Engine building feature?

I'm getting really mad with how you modify cars in racing games. It sucks just picking "na stage 3" or "turbo stage 4". Why can't we choose from a list of turbos/superchargers, and then tune it. At least as a minimum let us choose the size of turbo(s) and the amount of boost, let us mess with more than just "na tuning" also. Let us choose different parts for the engine and then mess with things like compression ratio, bore and stroke, etc. It'd be nice to have a fully customizable engine feature, and would make cars more unique. Just make it an unlockable, for example, make it so if you win 10 races in the same car, you're allowed to use this feature for that car from now on. That would actually make me want to get closer to completing the game, rather than just doing endurance races, and buying cars with the money because all the races are so frickin easy and boring. It sucks knowing that everyones *insert car name* will never be as fast as *insert car name*. Sure you can put limits...but when the highest amount of horsepower I can squeeze out of a 2002 camaro is under 700...that sucks. Done ranting...but does anybody else thnink it'd be fun to have that sort of feature in the game, or something similar?

Sounds a bit like in Street Legal Racing.

That was kind of fun.

But I don´t like your idea of "unlocking". That is Arcade ****. Don´t like that.

Have Fun

I think that we should be able to create are own car, like usuing a wind tunnel etc.
That way you could choose the performance of the car and not the game!!

i think that you are right. there should be more depth to some of the tuning aspects. like the turbos. you should be able to program it and coose size and certain types of pipes and stuf instead of a kit. also i think you should be able to buy new engines and fit them in your car. say i want to take the engine engine out of my 440 cuda, and put a new hemi in it. you should be able to do that, but each car should have a limit to the size of the engine that can be put in it. like ther is no way i will be able to fit that huge hemi in a little civic, because that engine is huge.
