can you actually blow up a motor in gt5? i've been trying and nothing is happening. i've ran 53 races with my FGT and it 's only went from 938hp down to 827hp, the oil change light has been on for 12 races and i havent seen any performance decrease.
 
Im not entirely sure mate, but i know if you crash with full damage on you can mess the engine up. You can also destroy the gearbox with full damage on. Try it in arcade mode. I know that the damage system works on an incremental basis. In other words, damage gets more intense the higher level you are.

lol yeah it seems less like a leveling system and more like a "hopefully by the time anyone gets to that level we will have had a chance to patch it into the game".
