I'm not missing anything here am I ???
I have a ton of used cars (approaching 500) and with all this extra cash i have from the online racing "triple Payout", I'm starting to "restore" a lot of my used cars... I'm impressed with the HP increase on some favorites that i thought were maxed out....
anyway, I can see where I'll lose track of what cars i've overhauled.....
the milage does'nt change (which i guess it should'nt).... but i wish there was some record of milage at the point where the overhaul occurs....
There is no way to tell right????
if not, I'll add it to the next patch request thread :)
thanks...

Don't over haul the engines until you reach 1000 to 1500 miles pending on the car. if you do it before hand you have to over haul them more often.

Thanks guys.... but, for instance my 70 Dodge charger had like 206,000 miles... i totally get, to not overhaul low milage cars... I'm just saying i have a plethora of high milage used cars that 6 months months from now, i can see that it will be easy to lose track of which cars i've overhauled and which cars i have'nt.
I'm just saying some sort of service record would be nice.... even if the milage was reset to zero after a complete rebuild would be great, i think.
cheers.

Use a spreadsheet to keep track. I think an option such as this will never make its way into the game.

You cannot reset a speedometer in reality (legally) and cars have log books to record the services done to it, treat your game cars the same 👍

yeah i hear ya, probably won't take the time to do it, but it's a good answer, thanks! :)

When you just overhaul a car the game wouldn't let you overhaul the car again until the engine need rebuilding again. So go a head a try to repair those cars, if you already did the game will reject that one. Then you can move on.

The issue with that is that it [GT5] will let you overhaul the engine far earlier than it really needs to be, the same as oil changes and chassis overhauls.

Agreed. I also agree that this is probably a very non-critical issue with the game. Just think it would be slick to be able "mark" that the overhauls were done, and at what milage they were done at, --built into the game. that's all.

I overhaul the engine when I notice a significant drop in the hp after races or at least after I attempt an oil change first.
