This should be done. this will help the time trials be played right. people cant take a race are and use 50% engine to win. if a car is stock 600BHP then thats the minimum the car should be allowed to go. this way the seasonal time trials will have real cars being used

Race cars are real cars, and 50% engine power cut isn't unrealistic. I disagree.

If race cars are allowed on the time trials and they are the fastest, that's what you should use if you want to win.

This wouldn't even stop people from using race cars anyway since there are many with less than 600, 500, and even 400 hp.

It is possible to do in real life though. Possibly not to the extremes in GT but engine mapping and fuel mixtures can be used to lower engine power.

I have no problem with people using whatever car works to get their best time. I happen to like building a car to a PP/HP/Wt and not having to use the limiter or ballast to make it fit. But, that's just me.

Also, this is another good example of why leader boards are a bad idea.

Time trials should be done in spec cars. On gt5 anyways.

Why shouldn't you be able to restrict? It happens in motorsport all the time. This just seems to me like you're annoyed because you're trying to use a car that isn't the popular choice and aren't getting to #1 spot.
