Engine probs

I'm a huge fan of the 1967 GT500 Eleanor so much I put the 427 which was put into it from the Shelby Cobra into the GT350. Well when I did this, the engine sounded like it but when I went to mod it or race it went back to normal. In the garage when I switched back into it, it still wasn't the 427 sound. How can I make it sound like a 427?

Are you on 2.12 or 2.11 update?

Patch 2.12 has killed engine swap hacks. Only up to 2.11 can do it.

If your on 2.11 or lower it seems your missing the last critical step to get the new engine fixed in the car, go over the info you have on hybriding and look for that last step involving GTAuto

Also it would start and sound like it(successful) but when I drove it, it went back to normal, but its still classified as a hybrid also if you were to send me one with a 427 would it work? If so what would you want?

Yup, all that's stays is sound sometimes, as we see here. When your on 2.12 it will reset your hybrids to normal.

You can still use hidden parts through tickets, and paint un paintable cars as before, a few things here and there work, but engine, chassis, slamming etc doesnt work anymore in 2.12

I just want the sound of it, its engine sounds like a vacuum most American muscles do in this game. The ZR1 sounds like a 4cyl or V6 its sad.. the 427 at least sounds decent

I very nearly put an E into the title which would have made it something else entirely...


While engine swaps no longer work in 2.12 - you can still put engine sounds from a different engine onto your car. (So I'm told, I haven't tried it)
However - only you can hear this change; it will sound completely normal to other people.

That's all I wanna do, the gt350s engine is gay sounding, tge cobra sounds decent.. so how do I do it? Idc about it keeping it the same hp or whatever, just want the sexy sound

Cant tell yah, its against the rules on GTP. I can say it the same as doing an engine swap, on 2.12 you just get sound, kinda.

Not yelling at you guys, but its my game PD.. I can do with it as I see fit. Last time I checked there is like a X1 that goes over 311mph with 1635hp that weighs 1500lbs... you can corner anything going speeds up to 300... cause that's realistic... I want to do realistic mods.. the X1s aren't even real, sure there is a life size model but its not what you think it is.. PD can suck it, imma do what I want with my game. Why can't we have hacked cars? Just use them in lobbys that allow them.. sure I dislike 100,000hp cars but whp cares, its their game

Delete GT5 game save utility back up your save and delete it of the ps3. You won't be able to play online anymore though.
