PS3 =/= Xbox 360
Hello,

Recently when I have been playing GT5 today, I noticed that when driving, I could barely hear the engine yet the Race BGM (music) and tyre sound effects were fully audible :( . Anyone else having a similar problem? I didn't touch the volumes for the sound effects, it just suddenly started playing up. Any help would be appreciated.

This has happened to me once before. It has something doing with the game not loading properly. Did you have any network issues?

Do you mean as in joining an online game? I haven't tried that yet.

No, even just in the menu. If you are connected to PSN, it reads from it every time it loads. I've noticed mine does weird stuff like that when my router was acting up.

Well, network-wise I haven't been having any problems so I don't know what's causing the problem. Any ideas anyone (this isn't the first time it's happened to me, the last time it happen was just under a year ago) ? Really starting to annoy me :banghead: .

Try turning your PS3 off and back on, clearing your cache, and if that doesn't work, quit the game and sign out and play offline for the rest of the day. This usually solves my problems. Best of luck!👍

Agreed, this is what worked for me.👍

What... I don't... why are you using a screwdriver? Just turn the system off then on. If that doesn't work, don't connect to PSN and I bet the problem goes away.

This. Did you get confused by the 'clear your cache' part? That's an option in the network section in the options menu. Lucky your screwdriver didn't work because you could've seriously damaged your system.

I'v been getting a similar problem where I have no sound at all, Menu, In a race, nothing
have to reload the game to make it work again, clearing cache didn't work.

Hey guys, I'm going to play GT5 now and see if the engine noises have changed their minds and come back 👍 .

The engine noises haven't come back yet, they're probably hiding :( .

I tried playing GT5 today and engine noises still haven't come back yet :banghead: .

EDIT: Argh, missed the edit button. Sorry for double post :nervous: .

I cleared the cache and then reloading the game and now I can hear the transmission noises (improvement). But still no actual engine noise.

Grrr... and I have a D1GP competition in 2 days' time :indiff: .

Oh dammit I posted this in the wrong thread by accident lol sorry :lol: . I also got the sound working again by experimenting with the sound settings in-game :) .
