There would be three ways to obtain an engine in Gran Turismo; Either purchase an engine from the ‘Engine Shop’, win one from a ‘Roulette’, or use one from a car that you own.
Example:
To perform an engine swap (Porsche 911 engine into a VW Beetle), you must first own the Porsche 911. When swapping the engine, the player would be prompted to sell the rest of the car either as scraps or to a museum (if it’s a ‘Legends’ car) depending on the car’s body valuation.
