I was just thinking how nice it would be to have some of the old options back. Back in the day, we had displacement increase for some cars, more turbo kits, the tuner (stage 5) kits on GT4 and what I really miss a lot was the boost control in GT1 (it was in 2? Don't remember)... You could adjust turbo pressure... it was awesome. Good old times with 900+hp 3000GTs, etc...

We really need those back. Another thing I would love to have it's the option to turbocharge any engine, or remove the turbo, converting the car to NA. Why not?

Sorely missing the adjustable boost option. Worked out a lot cheaper to a filthy big turbo and wind it up and down instead of buying the 1,2,3 stage turbos.

I kinda mocked up my own tuning options for my league PGTR(which is complicated ) and match it up with GT5 options. The power limiter can work wonders 👍 I agree with you though 100% though, I have a good feeling the tuning options will get better in GT5.

Yeah. Some stuff on GT5 it's just "too basic"... definitely I smell updates one some areas... wheel options and tuning options are those areas. Feel simplified and rushed out. But I'm sure it wasn't their intentions... (based on past games)

I liked the tuning in GT1 a lot, I think they need to bring back things like adjustable boost and the very informative gearing and power curve charts back. I didn't really care for the stage 5 turbo and the displacement upgrade was usually only on an overly low number of cars. I do want sports brakes back. I also think that they should add in an option to switch iron blocks for aluminum blocks in certain engines to reduce weight and increase power.

If I recall correctly, GT2 had port and polish as well as blueprint and balance available as options. Always cool to make bad-ass all-motor cars.

Yea I am not going to lie, I miss adjustable boost options and also the massive hp Skylines and 3000GTs from GT3. I don't like how they toned down the hp at all and I also wish for engine swaps as well.

What I miss aprt from the suggestions wlaready mentioned, was the ability to tune the anti-role bars without having to buy suspension upgrade like you can in real life. From what I remember it was usually one of the most effective 600cr you could spend.

In GT1 and GT2 engine upgrades were more realistic, affecting engine drivability / torque and power charts in a more believable way. For example NA tuning would increase the rpm limit and torque at high rpm significantly, while making low rpm performance pathetic. Or stage 4 turbo kits would have a lot of lag and loss of performance at low rpm due to engine decompression (although this effect was a bit too much exaggerated in-game).

In GT5 all of this has been dumbed down in realism noticeably. Most engines when applying NA tuning (no forced induction) can reach an impossibly high specific torque and at a too low rpm for the modifications. You don't get to feel the effects of "wild cams" except, very partially, in cars that already have them by factory.

Man it would be nice to have more options available to make the cars more powerful especially to have the choice between having a car thats more powerful but less economical so you would have to pit more and pay higher and more frequent maintainence costs or a car with less power thats more reliable (Less fuel/tire stops, more km's before rebuilds)

Why i don't remember the boost controller thing ??? any one put a video for it i really don't remember it .

I can understand removal of the "super skylines" for balancing, I thought that GT2 did this fairly by making most of them tunable to 750 hp.

I liked the N2O from GT4. Port polish, engine balancing, displacement up, racing brakes, triple plate clutch, racing flywheel, and stage 4 turbo from GT3. gotta love taking a 450 hp 3000 GT dropping a stage 4 turbo in it and getting a bolt-on 1000 HP.

How could I forget nitrous oxide. I miss engine balancing and port polish, could care less for the barely used displacement up. I miss racing brakes, racing flywheels, and the triple plate clutch. I don't care too much for the stage 4 turbo.

I do not remember a boost controller in GT1, GT2, , GT3, or even GT4. I did like the 5 stages of the Turbo kit, with a separate intercooler upgrade tho. Displacement up I think was stopped in GT5, The nos was only in GT4. Who ever has all 5 games please play them and note all mods possible with each game. I do remember in GT2 the TCS and ABS was $50,000 a piece!!!!

Tuning options from GT2 and GT4 were the best. RM originaly came from GT2. Tuning options in GT5 are nothing compared to FORZA.

RM was around since GT1 actually.
