So I've been following this build from the beginning, but it is nearing completion now so I thought I'd post up the link to the build blog and some pictures here, in case anyone is interested (I'm sure most of you will be)

Build Thread

The guy's name is Nigel Petrie, and his engineering skills and absolutely impeccable attention to detail is mind blowing. I really recommend going through the entire history of the blog, and prepare to be impressed (and insanely jealous) Here are a few of my favourite shots of the ute:

Anyway I am completely in love with this thing, and I'm hoping to see it in the metal when I go down to the World Time Attack challenge later in the year.

Boo. I was hoping to see an actual pick-up... not a tube-frame racer with a pick-up skin.

Just joshing. That's an absolutely gorgeous build. The only shame is that it's almost too pretty to bang up in a drifting competition. 👍

The detailing on that tranny tunnel is insane.

Yeah this guy's fabrication is seriously FIA touring car level stuff! Most impresively he learned welding on his own. His 180s are amazing as well!

Been following this build from the beginning. It's worth mentioning that iirc, he didn't know how to tig weld before starting this, and the tube bender and stuff he uses was all fabricated by himself.
