Does anyone have this habit of downshifting into an Apex, rendering the engine to Turn in Higher Rev, in hopes to take the corner better or with exit speed?

I find this is the worse thing to do in game, but in real life, this seems natural and gives good feedback, whereas in game, the car becomes more unstable, giving either understeer, or muchy Apex feeling, or oversteer, rarely a clean corner. Probably due to non-optimum LSD settings?

I found that keeping the engine in mid rev takes corners better.

Probably best, you need some gear left to exit the corner with otherwise your shifting up mid exit.

It's the same way in the real world. Too much risk of unsettling the car for any minor performance gain you might get, and depending on the transmission, possibly too much time wasted shifting two extra times. Watch some on-board racing videos, most corners are taken at medium RPM.

It's worth shifting down to pull through and out of a corner in "daily driving" -- even if you're pushing it a little, but if you are really driving the car on the edge of grip it's not.

This is one of the reasons I can't stand auto-shifting in games, it tends to do this.

downshifting causes the engine to start breaking, this causes weight to transfer to the front of the car, making the car unstable and prone to oversteer, downshift to early and the wheels will lock. any sudden transfer of weight increases unstable condition.

You wanna be in the lowest gear possible to get that high exit speed.

If the torque max out at mid rpm and start dropping towards high rpm. I think its better to take the corner at a higher gear at mid rpm, as u need all the torque available to pull away from the corner.
